Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman
Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman have decided to end their 26-year marriage, which didn’t surprise those close to them.
“This divorce was a long time coming,” a source told Us Weekly. “There’s no scandal, just many small issues over time. Mixing their personal and professional lives made things difficult. Rodger is the president of her company, so they had to balance their marriage with business decisions, which added strain to their relationship.” Both Zoe and Berman have yet to comment publicly on the situation.
Zoe, 53, and Berman, 55, cofounded and served as co-CEOs of Rachel Zoe Inc. Together, they were featured on reality TV, including The Rachel Zoe Project (2007-2013) and Fashionably Late With Rachel Zoe (2015).
In the months leading up to their split, the couple had been spending less time together. Zoe spent much of her summer in the Hamptons, while Berman was rarely there.
“Rachel and Rodger realized they’re better off apart than together,” the insider added. “Their kids are older now, so they felt more comfortable with the idea of separating.” The couple share two sons, Skyler, 13, and Kaius, 11.
When Zoe announced their breakup on Instagram on September 9, she emphasized that their top priority remains their children. She also mentioned that the decision to separate was mutual and that they are committed to co-parenting and continuing to work together on their business ventures.
Zoe and Berman met in 1991 while attending George Washington University and married in 1998. Just hours after announcing their divorce, Zoe appeared at an event in Los Angeles without her wedding ring.
As she adjusts to life after the split, Zoe is surrounded by a supportive circle of friends. On September 10, she shared a post on Instagram, thanking her “angel friends” for their support and showing off bouquets she received, including one from Deadpool and Wolverine director Shawn Levy and his wife, Serena Levy.
