Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan has shared more details of her character Daisy Midgeley’s thoughts of revenge next week.
Show bosses have teased that Daisy “sees red” when she spots her ex-fiancé Daniel Osbourne looking loved-up with his current partner Bethany Platt at the Rovers Return.
Daniel and Bethany appear to be the picture of happiness as they announce plans to move to London together and reveal that they’ve set a date for their wedding.
Daisy is decidedly unimpressed by the public display of affection, which comes as Daniel could be the secret father of her unborn baby. As Daisy reacts angrily, what exactly will she do?

Speaking about Daniel and Bethany’s big news, Charlotte explained: “Oh, Daisy finds it ridiculous! I think the thing that cuts her deep is that Daniel proposed to Bethany on exactly the same day as he had previously proposed to Daisy a couple of years ago – that would be a massive ick for me, I can’t believe Daisy still even wants him!
“But yeah, Daisy is extremely hurt and heartbroken to hear that they have booked their wedding and I think she’ll try to find a way to retaliate.”
When Daisy suffers another scare with her pregnancy and goes back to the hospital for a check-up, she asks Kit Green to accompany her rather than Daniel.
Kit is the other possible option for the baby’s father – and it seems that Daisy could be playing games by bringing him closer again.

Charlotte continued: “Daisy is definitely using Kit. She enjoys the attention and likes to use him to make Daniel jealous. I think Kit is just an option for Daisy to pass along the time until she can hopefully get Daniel back – well that’s how Daisy sees it.
“Kit is good for Daisy’s ego, but I’m not actually sure what they have in common and how they would work in the long term. Although, both Kit and Daisy have a dark side to them, which is the only thing that they seem to have in common – which isn’t a healthy thing.
“Daisy likes to retaliate by trying to make people jealous. She’s feeling a bit fragile, unsupported, lost and confused with all the Bethany and Daniel nonsense and is looking for some form of support – so if Kit is her only option for that, then she’ll definitely take it.
“At this point, Daisy doesn’t even know who the father is, so she is definitely using Kit to her advantage.”

Asked who Daisy hopes the father is, Charlotte replied: “Daisy is absolutely hoping that Daniel is the father – I think she realises that this could be her last chance at getting that happily ever after with him, which is what she’s always wanted.
“Logically I suppose, there is probably a bigger chance that it’s Kit’s baby but she’s putting that to the back of her mind. But we will just need to wait and see!”
