Love Island 2020 winners Finn Tapp and Paige Turley’s romance has taken a rocky road. After splitting in 2022, they nearly reunited on Ex on the Beach in 2023 until Finn’s fling with another contestant. Now Paige has ruled out rekindling things after Finn appeared to insult her Scottish heritage.

The reality TV world was captivated when Finn Tapp and Paige Turley were crowned the winners of the winter 2020 season of Love Island. After finding each other on the popular British dating show, the smitten couple seemed headed for long-lasting love. However, their fairy tale romance has taken a tumultuous turn over the past year.

Finn, 24, and Paige, 26, were one of Love Island’s golden couples when they left the villa as champions two years ago. They quickly moved in together during the COVID-19 lockdown, and Finn even got a tattoo dedicated to Paige, fueling speculation he was preparing to propose. But by June 2022, cracks began to show when Paige confirmed their split to host Maya Jama on Love Island: Aftersun.
“We’re still really good friends; we just grew apart romantically,” Paige explained their breakup. “These things happen.”

Fast-forward to early 2023, when Finn and Paige signed up to appear on MTV’s Ex on the Beach. This raised hopes among fans that the Love Island winners might rekindle their romance. Paige even teased, “Never say never,” about getting back together with Finn.
However, dreams of a reunion were dashed when Paige learned Finn had hooked up with Married At First Sight Australia star Tamara Joy, also on Ex on the Beach. Sources say Paige was “mortified” to learn about Finn’s fling with Tamara at the show’s launch party after having an “emotional reunion” with her ex on the beach.
“Finn’s fling with Tamara mortified Paige. He was the one trying to get her back and then threw his second chance in her face,” an insider told The Sun. “She’s definitely ruled out ever getting back with him now.”
Love Island Heartthrob’s Shady Slight?
Meanwhile, Finn is reportedly devastated to have blown his chances with Paige over the fleeting hookup. The former Love Island winner also raised eyebrows recently with a social media post that appeared to take a dig at his Scottish ex’s heritage.
After Scotland’s national soccer team lost 5-1 to Germany in June 2023, Finn posted a photo of himself cheering with friends with the shady caption: “Cheers to Scotland losing.” Since Paige hails from West Lothian, Scotland, many interpreted it as a swipe at the woman who once had his heart.
Moving On After Love Island Saga
For her part, Paige seems to be moving on from the drama. She recently told the Celebrity Skin Talk podcast: “I am single, I don’t know about Finn. We’re amicable. It’s a shame it didn’t work out, but I wish him all the best…You’ll always have that tie for each other from the show we did.”
While Finn and Paige’s romance has fizzled out since their fairytale Love Island triumph, the couple captivated millions as they fell for each other on the hit reality show.
