Aria from The Ultimatum season three recently slammed Scotty on The Viall Files podcast and shared some insightful stories about how the two first met. After listening to her side of the story, it seems like their relationship may have been doomed from the start. The two got engaged on the show, but Aria broke things off just a day later.
Aria detailed how she and Scotty actually met at Coachella, and they had a vibe going on. They then coincidentally met again in Vegas a few months later, and after that became “inseparable.”
Obsession: Is it healthy or unhealthy in hindsight?
It all seemed to be going well at first, with Aria describing Scotty as “obsessed” with her. “The reason I think I was so ‘into’ Scotty was was that he was so obsessed with me. It wasn’t in an unhealthy way, but instead in a way of intention where he was going out of his way to see me. We lived in two different cities at the time, I was still going to nursing school, so there was a lot of things that we had to wait for for me,” she explained. Maybe if she’d known where she’d be all those years later, she would have thought differently about his actions.
However, it seemed to all come crashing down when Aria opened up about Scotty’s insecurities. “I wanted to show my commitment to him as well, but you know, he also does have baggage with relationships, like women cheating on him. So, it was just a lot of things I had to deal with and show him that I was not that. I am not your past, I am here and I want to love you, but I just don’t think that was enough because there was internal battles he was dealing with.”
She said she felt “confused” by their relationship because he would tell her he wanted a future with her, but it seemed like she made him “so unhappy.” Aira got to a point where she was “honestly tired of fighting” and being “gaslit in certain situations.”
It’s probably for the best that these two ended things.
