Arnold Schwarzenegger has been a bodybuilder, a businessman, a well-known actor and the former Governor of California, but he’s also the father of a few notable names. During his marriage to now ex-wife Maria Shriver, the couple welcomed four children including Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt, Christina Schwarzenegger, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Christopher Schwarzenegger. The same year Arnold and his wife welcomed Christopher, he secretly welcomed son Joseph Baena with his housekeeper Mildred Baena—which Schwarzenegger publicly admitted to shortly after Shriver filed for divorce in July 2011.
Now, their son Patrick is making waves with his role in season 3 of The White Lotus—but he’s not the only one of the Schwarzenegger kids to find fame. Get to know each of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s kids and what they’re up to today.
Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt
Born December 13, 1989, Katherine Eunice Schwarzenegger Pratt is the eldest child of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver. Her middle name, Eunice, was taken after her grandmother Eunice Kennedy—the younger sister of President John F. Kennedy.
Katherine grew up in a political family, not only coming from a line of Kennedys, but also when her father became the Governor of California. However, she strayed from her father’s footsteps for her mother’s, becoming a New York Times bestselling author with her 2010 book Rock What You’ve Got: Secrets to Loving Your Inner and Outer Beauty from Someone Who’s Been There and Back. Pratt has since written four additional books: I just Graduated…Now What? (2014), Maverick and Me (2017), The Gift of Forgiveness (2020) and Good Night, Sister (2023).
Katherine tied the knot with actor Chris Pratt in 2019 after a year of dating and they have since welcomed three of their own children: daughter Lyla in 2020, daughter Eloise in 2022 and son Ford in 2024.
Christina Schwarzenegger
Schwarzenegger and Shriver welcomed their second daughter, Christina Maria Aurelia Schwarzenegger, on July 23, 1991. Christina pursued a similar career path to her mother’s, receiving her English degree in 2013, which allowed her to become an editor for Gwyneth Paltrow’s brand Goop, and she later studied interior design at Parsons School of Design.
She is also a founding member of the Founder’s Council of the Special Olympics, a global sports movement founded by her grandmother, Eunice Kennedy Shriver. Additionally, Christina has teamed up with her mother Maria to executive produce the 2018 Netflix documentary, Take Your Pills.
Patrick Arnold Shriver Schwarzenegger
You may recognize Patrick Schwarzenegger from your recent binge of The White Lotus season 3, where he portrays Saxon Ratliff, but he is also the third child and first son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver. Born on September 18, 1993, Patrick has continued in the tradition of his father, making his acting debut in 2006’s Benchwarmers. He later scored roles in Grown Ups 2 (2013), Midnight Sun (2018) and The Staircase (2022), before booking his coveted role in The White Lotus.
In December 2023, Patrick announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend, model Abby Champion, through a sweet joint Instagram post.
Arnold Schwarzenegger has often spoken about how proud he is of his children, but he recently shared his love for his son’s The White Lotus role. “I was so pumped to take a break from filming to celebrate @patrickschwarzenegger at the White Lotus Season 3 premiere,” Arnold wrote. “What a show!”

Christopher Shriver Schwarzenegger
Christopher Sargent Shriver Schwarzenegger, the youngest child of Arnold and Maria, was born on September 27, 1997. Unlike his siblings and parents, Christopher has largely stayed out of the spotlight since graduating from the University of Michigan. Instead, he is the Director of Development at Indus Valley Media, a production company servicing the global film and television marketplace based in LA.
Arnold shared a sweet message about his son following his graduation, which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “I know your graduation from Michigan wasn’t the big celebration you dreamed about for years, but walking across a stage isn’t what makes me so proud of you,” Arnold wrote. “It’s your compassion, your hard work, your vision, your critical thinking and your selflessness that make me burst with pride. I can’t wait to watch you keep climbing and succeeding.”
Joseph Baena
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s fifth child, Joseph Baena, is the son of Arnold and his longtime housekeeper Mildred Patricia Baena. Born on October 2, 1997, Joseph’s identity was kept secret for years until he began to resemble his father enough that many questioned it. Schwarzenegger didn’t admit to fathering him in his affair until 2011, after he was no longer Governor of California.
“It was wrong what I did,” Schwarzenegger shared in the Netflix docuseries, Arnold. “But I don’t want to make Joseph feel that he is not welcomed in this world—because he is very much welcomed in this world,” Schwarzenegger said. “I love him, and he has turned out to be an extraordinary young man.”
Similar to his father, Joseph is a bodybuilder and an actor, appearing in the movies Bully High (2022) and Call to Duty (2023). On top of that, he’s a real estate agent.
