The actress opened up about her experience in a first-person article for The Ankler.

The star revealed her alleged stalker – a German woman – died in 2024.

Paul detailed her stalker allegedly launched an online attack claiming Paul’s husband Ian was paedophile, wrote letters urging her to leave him, and broke her first restraining order 29 times, among other incidents.

Paul said she would “check the street every time I leave home, avoid interactions with fans and rarely go to public events.”

The actress revealed the alleged stalking began in mid-December 2011 when a young German woman and her little brother knocked on the door to her Pacific Palisades home.

Paul let them in to use her bathroom, “made small talk” and introduced her husband.

After that, Paul alleged the woman began to leave notes at her home, stopping contact for nine months after the star’s husband called her asking to stop.

Then the woman moved a block away from Paul.

Paul was able to get her first restraining order after the woman “tried to physically prevent” her from leaving a parking garage.

The actress said the woman’s attitude over time when from “awkward adoration to hatred for my husband” and then “to a certainty that I needed rescuing from him, to anger at both of us for ignoring her, to an insistence that I really was in love with her.”

She was arrested several years after the “harassment” began and deported to Germany since she was illegally in the country. However, she snuck back into the US later.

Paul and her husband sold their home and moved 11 years into the ordeal, however, Paul claimed the woman found them again in six weeks and was arrested again.

“I will never know why she picked me,” Paul wrote.

The star said she was “still working through the guilt of my initial politeness to her, which probably reinforced her delusion that I was interested in her.”

“The stress placed on Ian and the damage done to his career because of her harassment – because of me – still haunts me.”

Paul is best known for starring as Stephanie Holden on Baywatch. She has also been in films such as Christine, American Flyers and Dragnet.
