Disaster struck Bethenny Frankel at her Super Bowl party when she accidentally got locked in a bathroom and couldn’t call for help. The Real Housewives of New York alum was trapped in a washroom during a watch party in Miami. Her friends were just outside but unable to hear her because of the game.
Bethenny documented her experience on social media to the entertainment of her followers, proving once again that she’s completely forthcoming online. Whether she’s shading Harry Hamlin’s pasta sauce or sharing her RHONY reboot opinion, fans can be sure they’re getting 100% unfiltered Bethenny.

But back to the Super Bowl. Bethenny definitely got more than the big show, she got the “sh*t show* as she shared on social media.
“You ready for this one? This sh*t show!” she said holding up what appeared to be a piece of a broken doorknob. “Everyone’s watching the game, and I’m texting all my friends that I’m locked in the fricking bathroom.”
The Skinnygirl founder claimed she initially didn’t want to make her situation public. But felt she had no choice when friends weren’t receiving her messages. She took to social media to hopefully notify partygoers that she needed assistance.
She even tried screaming but to no avail because the game was on blast outside. Eventually, someone came to her rescue which she also documented.
“Thank you,” she said to the person trying to open the door for her. However, it wasn’t easy. The door wouldn’t open right away and remained locked despite best efforts.
“I’m so sorry!” she cried as she held up the doorknob and gamely laughed off the mishap. Luckily, she made it out in time to catch the halftime show. She praised Kendrick Lamar’s performance and talked about how she loved his music.
This isn’t the first time this year things didn’t go as planned for Bethenny. Last January, she shared how she suffered a wardrobe malfunction at the NASDAQ opening when her dress’s snaps kept popping open.
At least she’s learned to laugh these unexpected moments off, considering they seem happen to her quite often.
