Whether you tune into reality TV occasionally or consider yourself an entertainment aficionado, you’ve likely heard of Rob Mariano, known as Boston Rob, as he’s known for legendary gameplay across various shows. From his strategic dominance on Survivor to his latest takeover on The Traitors, Rob continues to wow audiences with his wit, charm and competitive mindset. Beyond his love for the game, he’s a family man at heart. Married to fellow Survivor winner Amber Mariano (née Amber Brkich), the two have raised four daughters together. Who are Boston Rob and Amber Mariano?
Survivor winners Rob and Amber not only found success on the beloved reality show, they also found love. Rob’s first appearance was on Survivor: Marquesas in 2002, while Amber’s was on Survivor: The Australian Outback in 2001. The pair then met while competing on Survivor: All-Stars in 2004.
Their whirlwind showmance became even more official when Rob proposed during the live finale. The pair have been married since 2005 and became first-time parents four years later. Now, they have four daughters: Lucia Rose (born in 2009); Carina Rose (2010); Isabetta Rose (2012) and Adelina Rose (2014).
Since becoming a father, Rob has played the game four more times, including Season 20 of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains (2010), Season 22 of Survivor: Redemption Island (2011), Season 35 of Survivor: Island of the Idols (2019), and Season 40 of Survivor: Winners at War in 2020, in which Amber also competed again. The couple also competed on The Amazing Race and came in second place.
Now, Boston Rob brought his strategic mind to The Traitors in 2025, and competed alongside fellow reality stars and celebrities, including Survivor alums Carolyn Wiger and Tony Vlachos.

While both parents were playing on Season 40, Lucia, Carina, Isabetta and Adelina also had a special role as they planned a surprise visit to Mom and Dad.
“It was a big thrill for them to actually come out to the island while we were out there, and actively come out and participate in the show,” Rob on an episode of the First Class Fatherhood podcast. “That was like a really big gift for ourselves also, to see them and see the joy of them enjoying it.”

In a March 3 Instagram post, the Amazing Race runner-up shared the sweetest photo of his family, captioned “Coast to Coast to have dinner with #MyGirls @angelenaspensacola #Worthit.” All four girls were cozied up next to Rob and Amber and the internet couldn’t help but think they got more of Amber’s genes than Rob’s, especially their hair, eyes and smiles.
“You must really love Amber’s face. You just copy-pasted Amber’s face 4x. Gorgeous family,” one person wrote in the comments.
Another person said, “Awe!! Your girls each look like sets of twins! 👯♀️ 👯♂️ 💕💕 Beautiful family!! ♥️”
Other people were also excited to see the whole family together. “Boston Rob how are you so lucky to have these four beautiful women around you,” one person said, while another wrote, “You and Amber were the greatest! Can’t believe that your family wouldn’t have happened without SURVIVOR. Crazy world!”
Why family time means everything to Boston Rob
Throughout the years of traveling for game shows, Rob always kept family at the forefront of his mind. Many of his Instagram posts highlight time with his daughters and his wife.
“We spend a lot of time together as a family. We spend so much time together because we want to,” he said. “I think that family aspect is the most important part of what I’m teaching my kids. I always tell them no one is going to be there for you like your family is.”
