Brandi Glanville Opens Up About ‘Ruined Life’ and Suicidal

Brandi Glanville is finally shedding light on the intense emotional and physical battles she’s faced following serious allegations made by fellow reality star Caroline Manzo. In a candid interview on the MisSPELLING podcast with host Tori Spelling, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star reflected on the harrowing aftermath of the accusations that first surfaced in early 2023.

Manzo accused Glanville of non-consensual advances while they were filming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco — a claim Glanville has continuously denied. “The narrative when we got back from Morocco was I was fired for being inappropriate with Caroline Manzo. And I wasn’t… It’s ruined my life,” Brandi told Spelling.

What followed was an overwhelming media storm that, according to Glanville, spiraled beyond her control. “I got sick six months later. But those six months, I was in a fetal position on my couch, like, contemplating suicide, being called horrible things. It’s so crazy that the press has so much power.”

Glanville described how the coverage snowballed, recalling how it went from harmless-sounding rumors to severe accusations. “It went from ‘gave her a lap dance,’ to ‘kissed her unwantingly,’ to ‘sexually harassed her,’ then to ‘rape.’”

The fallout wasn’t just emotional. Brandi says the situation devastated her career and financial security. “I literally, at 51, started OnlyFans, because I didn’t have income for six months and I was like going through my savings.” She also revealed she was simultaneously coping with a mysterious facial health crisis that left her disfigured and reeling. “And then I lost my looks at the same time,” she added.

In May 2024, Caroline Manzo expanded on her claims in a sworn affidavit, stating: “When Glanville was sexually assaulting me on the sofa, she was rubbing her vagina on me. The producers just watched and kept filming. They saw that I was in distress and yet, they continued to film.” Manzo further alleged that Glanville followed her into a bathroom, pinned her against a door, and assaulted her again.

Glanville’s legal team has firmly denied the allegations, issuing a statement insisting: “Ms. Glanville and Ms. Manzo engaged in ‘dirty dancing,’ flirting, and playful touching. Throughout the night, they shared a couple of kisses.” They also claimed they had yet to be allowed access to the relevant footage and that the events were never private, as “anything that happened took place in the presence of the cast and crew. All the events were captured on camera or picked up via microphone.”

The weight of it all took a physical toll on Glanville, who revealed she was diagnosed with angioedema — a severe swelling condition brought on by stress. On her Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast earlier this year, she confessed, “I feel like I spent a year already and not working. Now it’s the new year and I have a lot of good things happening. My friends found me a job overseas. I’m not going to say what it is… and now that the news came out, I can’t do it.”

She admitted the ongoing stress continues to affect her health and self-image. “It gives me so much anxiety and I think that’s why I’ve had the flare ups this past week. I’m all clenched up. I’m a mess. My health is really f**ed.”*

Glanville also shared how the ordeal impacted her personal life, revealing, “I’ve lost my security in my looks. I’m so insecure. I isolate in Calabasas. I don’t leave my house. I don’t do a lot.” She even mentioned it’s been two years since she’s had sex — “not by choice,” she clarified.

Despite it all, there’s a small spark of positivity. Brandi recently made an appearance in a music video for her track Remedy“I did shoot a music video [recently] and they touched up my face with their digitizing thing ’cause they were so nice,” she shared with a bittersweet laugh.
