As the news of her father’s death emerged in 2022, Brooke admitted in a candid post that it didn’t “feel real “.
“It doesn’t feel right, you were taken away too soon and life is so cruel,” she said.
“We were so similar in so many ways and I always use to joke that I got your genes and I use to joke about how much that annoyed me!!
“Well now I couldn’t be happier and prouder that I have your genes.”
“And I was lucky and will forever be, so proud to call you my dad. I love you to infinity and back and I will miss you forever.”
Jackson, 25, recently discussed his father’s death to Today Extra and spoke about how he focused on his health and fitness and created a social club called Saint in Melbourne for workouts and wellness.
He said he knows his father would be very “proud” of him.
“I think he’d be really proud of me, of how healthy I’ve now become and I think he would also be proud of the things I’m doing daily as well, whether it be getting up earlier, making sure my relationships are good, always being honest, I think it’d be very proud,” Jackson said.
