Several parts of Los Angeles, California, including the Hollywood Hills, Pacific Palisades, Pasadena and more, are currently dealing with the largest wildfire in the state’s history. The effects have been catastrophic, killing several people and displacing thousands of others—including celebrities we know and love. Adam Brody and Leighton Meester
Teen TV stars Adam Brody and Leighton Meester’s home reportedly burned to the ground late on Wednesday, January 7. The couple and their two kids have been evacuated and are safe as of the publication date.
Cameron Mathison
Cameron Mathison is a soap opera star who shared on Instagram via video that his house burned down as a result of the fires.
“This is what’s left of our beautiful home,” the actor wrote. “Our home where our kids were raised and where they wanted to raise their own someday.”
He also confirmed that he and his family “are safe” and are grateful for all who reached out and checked in.”
“Sending so many prayers to everyone being affected by these fires.”
As of now, Mathison and his family remain healthy and safe.
Ricki Lake
TV host and actress Ricki Lake shared on Instagram that she and her husband Ross Burningham “lost our dream home” when it burned down as a result of the fires.
“This loss is immeasurable. It’s the spot where we got married 3 years ago,” she continued. “I grieve along with all of those suffering during this apocalyptic event.”
“Praying for all of my neighbors, my friends, my community, the animals, the firefighters and first responders.”
Lake and Burningham are safe right now, and are currently trying to deal with losing their “heaven on earth.”
Diane Warren
Songwriter Diane Warren also took to Instagram to share that her house has been “lost in the fire.”
“The animals and the rescue ranch are okay though, which is the most important thing,” she continued. “Stay safe everyone.”
Warren is 68 years old and has since evacuated the L.A. area.
Paris Hilton
Heiress and reality TV star Paris Hilton’s Malibu beach house has also been affected by the tragedy, with the mom of 2 saying, “This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.”
“While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family and pets are safe.”
Hilton also shared that her “prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires. To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets.
“The devastation is unimaginable. To know so many are waking up today without the place they called home is truly heartbreaking.”
Billy Crystal
Actor Billy Crystal shared with PEOPLE Magazine that he and his wife’s family home had been engulfed in flames and is now unlivable.
“Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing,” the actor said. “Janice and I lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away. We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this.
“We pray for the safety of the firefighters and first responders.”
Jennifer Grey
Jennifer Grey is an actress best known for her work in Dirty Dancing, and now according to an Instagram story posted by her daughter Stella Gregg, the actress’s house has been “burned to the ground.”
Gregg did confirm though that both Grey and her dog Winnie “are safe.”
Denise Crosby
Actress Denise Crosby took to X (formally known as Twitter) on Wednesday, January 8 to share that “Yesterday morning I had a beautiful Spanish cottage that gave me endless joy, where I met my husband and raised my son, the only house I’ve ever owned, with fruit trees I grew, with a garden of native plants.
“Now, ashes. I am heartbroken.”
Crosby is best known for her work in Star Trek, and as of now she is safe.
Melissa Rivers
Melissa Rivers called into the media outlet CNN to share that her home was burned down. She further detailed how “That is the end of everything that belonged to my family and the history of it.”
The actress also shared that she and her family are safe, and grabbed her “mom’s Emmy, a photo of my dad and a drawing my mother had done of me and my son. … I went for a drawing of hers, rather than a photo. I know I can find the photos, but a drawing I can’t replace.”
Cary Elwes
Actor Cary Elwes first took to Instagram to say that he and his family were being evacuated. He then made a separate post letting people know that they did lose the home, but they “are all safe. Thank God.
“We are grateful to have survived this truly devastating fire.”
Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag
Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag shared via TikTok that their home has burned down and that the situation is a “Nightmare came true” for Pratt.

The couple has two children, both of whom are safe according to Montag.
James Woods
James Woods was another celebrity who first evacuated his home, before eventually learning that it had burned down entirely.
“One day you’re swimming in the pool and the next day it’s all gone,” the actor told CNN. “There was so much chaos, it was like an inferno. Every house was on fire around us.”
Woods and his family are safe.
Aside from these celebrities, nearly 180,000 L.A. residents have been evacuated from their homes.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
Model and chef Chrissy Teigen shared on Instagram, that she, her husband—John Legend—and their four kids were being removed from their home.
“This is surreal I’m very scared now,” she wrote in an Instagram story.
Teigen also shared that “We are ok as of right now, and I felt weird saying that with so many people we know and don’t know who are not ok.”

Along with donations, several celebrities and businesses are doing everything they can to help people affected by the fires.
Airbnb has begun offering free homes for people to stay in, actress Jamie Lee Curtis has donated $1 million to various victims and several other celebs have posted links for people to get access to free resources and donation sites.
Steve Guttenberg is also helping out by making sure people are getting out of their cars and homes safely.
“There are people stuck up there. So we’re trying to clear Palisades Drive and I’m walking up there as far as I can moving cars,” he said. “It’s really, really important.”
