2024 was a wild year for celebrity couples — from unexpected pairings like Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan or the sheer fact that Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are still together.
However, several celebrities hard-launched relationships that were, while unexpected, also made so much sense. We’re talking about the adorable couple that is Dua Lipa and Callum Turner to the ultimate vibe matching of Dove Cameron and Damiano David. To ring in 2025, I decided to make my own list of celebrities that could be probably, most likely, for sure, be super cute together. Remember, these aren’t confirmed romances, but if we manifest them hard enough … maybe they could be.
First I must begin with the “Please Please Please” singer of it all. Girlie deserves a break after carrying pop music on her back for all of 2024. While she and Barry have since called it quits after confirming their romance earlier in the year, I think most of the internet saw it coming. I mean, she literally wrote a song begging a man to not embarrass her.
ICYMI, Sabrina is usually super private about her romantic life, which is why fans were so shocked when she not only posed with Barry at red carpet events, but she also had him star in her music video!
The Disney alum starred alongside Barry in the “Please Please Please” music video back in June 2024, and it nearly broke the internet. Sabrina played an adoring girlfriend to a man who is in constant trouble with the law (Barry). Throughout the video, Barry’s character endeavors in illegal activity as Sabrina watches on in annoyance. After getting arrested for a second time, the “Espresso” singer ends the video with taping his mouth shut and sealing it with a kiss. Iconique.
While Sabrina and Barry had been romantically for most of 2024, they eventually called it quits by December. “They are both young and career-focused, so they’ve decided to take a break,” a source told People Magazine.
While I’d love for Sabrina to embrace her singlehood in 2025 (think of the single girl bangers she could put out), I couldn’t help but think up multiple possible romantic prospects for the “Espresso” songstress, as well.
