Craig Conover has spoken out a week after his ex-girlfriend and fellow reality star Paige DeSorbo confirmed their shock split.
After three years of dating, the Southern Charm and Summer House stars parted ways, seemingly amicably.
DeSorbo shared the news in an episode of her Giggly Squad podcast, telling listeners she and Conover had “decided to no longer be together.”
Now, Conover has broken his silence, revealing via his Instagram Stories that he was “still processing” their split.

“I figured it’s finally time to check in with everyone. Sorry about the delay, this has all been very, very unexpected to say the least,” he began.
“But I guess I gotta start living again, whatever that looks like. Whatever my new normal looks like, I have to start.
“‘Gratitude will get you through this, with time comes clarity’ – all of the advice, I’m trying to listen to.”
Conover admitted the announcement of the split came as a surprise.
“[It happened] right before the holidays,” he shared.

“I was very shocked. And it’s OK. It takes two people to be in a relationship and you can’t control other people, you can only control how you react to it.
“Remember to be kind to Paige and me and yourselves and all of that good stuff.”
“I’m still processing everything, which is normal,” Conover added.

“It’s a three-year relationship, it’s your best friend who you talk to all day everyday, and then they’re just gone. So, you know, one day I’ll be able to talk more on it.
“It’s just life. I have to take my own advice… that no one is ever not better off after a breakup.”
He concluded positively: “But I guess now I gotta practice what I preach and believe it and truly have faith in God that everything happens for a reason. But I love you all and I’ll see everyone on my travels this January. We got a lot coming up.”
When DeSorbo announced the couple’s breakup to podcast co-host Hannah Berner, she said, “It’s weird, it’s very weird. I wasn’t expecting this.
“Obviously, when we first started dating, you don’t think, ‘Oh, what will happen? Will we get married, will we not?’ You’re just kind of, like, in this relationship.”
One of Bravo’s most beloved couples, the pair met during the first season of Winter House in 2021.
DeSorbo didn’t reveal the cause of the breakup but confessed there wasn’t a major fallout.

“Not to sound traditional and old fashioned, this is not a situation where I have, like, a 50-part series of ‘Who the f–k was I dating?'” she said.
“Could not be more opposite of that. I have so much love and respect for Craig. I think he is one of the best people I have ever met in my entire life.
“I love him, I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends. No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing.”
