Actress Dalyce Curry has died at the age of 95.
The star, who was best known for her role in The Blues Brothers, lost her life amid the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires.
Curry’s great-granddaughter, Dalyce Kelley, confirmed the news of her passing in a heartbreaking Facebook post.
“About an hour ago the coroner confirmed her remains were indeed found at the property. #RIPMOMMADEE 🕊️,” she wrote.

“We had a great run. She impacted my life in so many ways. This loss is devastating.”
Throughout her career, Curry has starred in various productions, including Lady Sings the Blues, The Blues Brothers and The Ten Commandments.
The actress was affectionately known to friends, family and fans alike as Momma D.
Curry’s great-granddaughter worked as her caretaker, and when the fires first broke out in Los Angeles, Kelley shared via social media that the Eaton Fire destroyed her home in Altadena.
“My grandmothers house burned down has anyone seen MOMMA DEE,” Kelley wrote via Facebook at the time. “At the shelter searching a third time. Not here.”
Prior to her post, Kelley hadn’t seen her great-grandmother since the day before, which was when the Pacific Palisades fire began.

Kelley was then accompanied by officials to Curry’s home, telling local news outlet ABC 7: “It was total devastation.
“Everything was gone except her blue Cadillac,” she explained.
Sadly, Curry was later found on her property, presumably succumbing to her burn injuries.
