Donald Trump inauguration: Carrie Underwood’s performance rocked by technical issues with microphone

Carrie Underwood‘s inauguration performance was rocked by a technical issue.

The American country singer walked out on stage inside the US Capitol Rotunda after Donald Trump’s inauguration speech to sing a rendition of America The Beautiful.

Underwood stood with her microphone in hand, ready to sing, when the music played out for just a split second before coming to a sudden stop.

The If I Didn’t Love You singer smiled on as everyone waited for the music to resume.

However, as the silence continued to stretch on, Underwood made a spontaneous decision to continue the performance.

“You know the words, help me out here,” the country singer told the crowd, then jumping straight into the song, proving she’s ever the professional.

The entire crowd then joined in to sing acapella with Underwood, without the help of a pre-recorded backing track.
