Dua Lipa took to her Instagram to express her joy and gratitude for the fifth anniversary of her hit record “Future Nostalgia.” The carousel included a series of sultry photos from her tour, along with some behind-the-scenes snaps. The 29-year-old penned a sweet note to celebrate her career milestone.
Lipa gushed over the big moment and shared that it “doesn’t even feel real” to believe that it has been five years of “Future Nostalgia.” She wrote, “Thank you for the memories that I have to last me a lifetime ~ keeping me dancing all around the world.”
The singer continued to express her heartfelt gratitude. She wrote, “thanking my lucky stars every day for music and the power that it has over me.” Lipa continued, “…and the ability it has had time and time again to connect us all no matter where we are on this floating rock.” She further celebrated the “massive milestone” and announced the new version of “Physical” with Troye Sivan.
The pop star explained she and her fellow singer worked on this version together “years ago.” Moreover, Lipa added that she “always felt like it needed an occasion” to release the collaboration song. She noted that the record’s fifth anniversary felt like the “perfect time” to drop the new version of the song.
Dua Lipa’s sophomore album, “Future Nostalgia,” took over the charts upon its release in 2020. Moreover, her single “Levitating” went on to become one of her most popular songs from the album. In fact, the singer was also honored with multiple accolades. Lipa won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album for “Future Nostalgia” in 2021.
