Hugh Grant reveals he gave his family ‘worms’ and accidentally ‘poisoned’ them while cooking: ‘They beg me not to cook’

Hugh Grant might be one of Britain’s biggest stars who won over fans with his appearances in some of the best rom-coms of the ’90s.

But while he’s got an incredible acting ability, it seems his talents unfortunately don’t extend to cooking.

In his own words, the actor, 64, has shared that he only recently started cooking.

It’s his new passion, but he accidentally ”poisoned” his family and given them “worms” with his well-intentioned efforts.

During an interview he conducted for Vogue UK with his Bridget Jones co-star Renée Zellweger ahead of the release of Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, Grant made the frank admission about his cooking.

“Do you know I’ve started cooking for the first time in 64 years,” he said during their candid chat.

Grant said he loves barbecuing and loves buying Le Creuset goods, before speaking about making his family sick by accident due to “undercooked chicken”.

“I’ve poisoned my family twice, given them worms.”

The actor said he was cooking chicken on the BBQ but it was “dark” when he was cooking.

“So I served it out – worms all round. And the children now beg me not to cook,” he added.

Grant is married to Swiss-born wife Anna Eberstein, a TV producer. He is a father to five children, three with Eberstein and two with his ex Tinglan Hong.
