Jason Tartick Talks Bachelor Nation, Podcast & Finances

Jason Tartick stole everyone’s hearts when he appeared on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette in 2018. Sadly, he was sent home during the second-to-last episode, but quickly after leaving fell in love with Kaitlyn Bristowe, a former Bachelorette. They dated from 2019 until 2023 and even got engaged at one point, but the engagement was called off because the pair said they didn’t prioritize one another. He also dated influencer Kat Stickler from April 2024 until November 2024 and their breakup is believed to have been amicable.

Following all of that drama, Tartick has decided to move on with his life and focus on the things that really matter to him, like his financial podcast, Trading Secrets. First for Women recently caught up with the banker-turned-reality star to discuss that change and if he would ever go back on television to find love. All of that and more are below.

Jason Tartick reveals if he would ever return to Bachelor Nation

When Tartick was sent home by Kufrin, Bachelor Nation wept and begged for producers to either make him The Bachelor or let him join the cast of Bachelor in Paradise. However, given how quickly Tartick began dating Bristowe, that never happened. Even so, he claims that going on the show was one of the best things that ever happened to him.

“One of the biggest things the show taught me is how disconnected I was from my feelings,” Tartick told First for Women. “If I look at the person I am in 2025 versus the person I [was] in 2018, it’s a whole different view. A lot of it is work on understanding feelings and being connected with those feelings, and starting to tap into who I am in ways that have allowed me to continue to grow. And the show led me to that journey.”

“I still follow the show. I still have friends with people that are alumni from the show, and it’s really been an experience I’m forever grateful for.”

Despite following the show, Tartick said he wouldn’t return to the dating portion of the show because he’s “content” with where he is now; however, he still plans to pop up from time to time if he can.

“Anything that I can ever do to support the show, I will do anytime, anyplace, because I feel a little indebted,” Tartick said. “I also want to see the show win. When the show does well, it’s good for the alumni of the show. I’m a fan and I’ll be rooting for them.”

Since his departure, Tartick has stopped by several times on various installments of Women and Men Tell All, as well as some After The Final Rose specials as an audience member.

Jason Tartick talks about his podcast and career as an author

Following his reality TV departure, Tartick decided to return to his banking roots and publish two nonfiction financial books: The Restart Roadmap: Rewire and Reset Your Career (2022) and Talk Money to Me: The 8 Essential Financial Questions to Discuss with Your Partner (2024). He also began a podcast entitled Trading Secrets, which is dedicated to helping people learn more about the way money works.

“If you’re not writing something you’re passionate about, you’ll never get it done,” Tartick said of his books. “And so for me, the two areas that struck a chord with me are career navigation and the intersection of love and money. Those are two things I’m passionate about and two things that are hurdles in the United States. I started the process in 2020 and my last book was published in 2024, and we did a book tour, which was so much fun, but it was a four-year process to get both of them out the door.”

Along with his books, another way Tartick spreads his love for money and career is through his podcast, which he hosts by himself. Although, if you were to ask him, there are quite a few co-hosts that he would like to have.

“I’m a huge fan of The Beatles. I mean, how cool would it be if you could bring the whole band back together?” he shared. “I would love to have Denzel Washington on and I just think the brain of Jim Carrey is fascinating.”

Jason Tartick’s top budgeting hack that saves you money

As someone so involved with finance, budgeting and couponing are very important to Tartick, and while talking with First for Women, he shared some of the tried and true hacks that have helped him manage his money over the years.

“When I think about budgeting, what I always do is think, ‘What’s my flavor of the month?’” Tartick said. “We’re talking about coupons and promo codes right now, and it’s a really big theme when you think about reduced spending.”

Last year, 54% of US consumers increased their use of coupon codes, representing more than a 50% increase [from the year before]. And we know that of consumers aged 18 to 34, 87% of them are using coupons,” Tartick noted. “So, I would say find ways to integrate savings into your everyday life, because that will leave you with the cash you have left over to accelerate your debt pay downs or buy the home or car or something that you always wanted.”

And one of his favorite ways to keep track of his old and new coupons? Ziploc’s Preserve Promo, which allows you to “upload a photo of an unused promo code [or coupon]” and in exchange, the plastic bag company is going  to give you “$4.00 off for Ziploc products, which help preserve food.”

Sadly, Tartick will not be using his Ziploc bags to store his roses (we asked), but he’s excited for people to use the website preservedpromos.com, allowing them to save money and work towards their individual financial goals.
