Jennifer Lopez will keep her $8 million engagement ring from Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez is walking away with one pricy item from her marriage to Ben Affleck.

The A-list couple officially settled their high-profile divorce on Tuesday (Australia time).

While Bennifer’s marriage didn’t last, the actress and singer is reportedly keeping the engagement ring she received – and it comes with quite the expensive price tag.

Court documents obtained by multiple media outlets reveal the singer gets to hold onto the sparkler as part of the settlement agreement.

The settlement comes five months after Lopez, 55, filed for divorce in August 2024.

The flashy ring is an 8.5-carat natural green diamond centre stone sitting in between two white diamonds on a silver band.

While the price has not officially been confirmed it’s reported worth is upwards of $US5 million (approx. $8 million).

Diamond expert Andrew Brown told People natural green diamonds are “extremely rare”.

Another expert Grant Mobley told the outlet green diamonds are “among the most difficult to cut” and its value will “significantly increase over time.”

Lopez first showed off the ring in her newsletter On the JLo.

The ring was engraved by Affleck with the phrase “not.going.anywhere.,” which Lopez revealed held a particularly special meaning to the pair’s relationship during a 2022 appearance on The Zane Lowe Show.

“That’s how he would sign his emails when we started talking again. Like ‘Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere,'” Lopez told Zane Lowe of why Affleck chose the engraving.

Lopez and Affleck got married in July 2022 in Los Vegas, three months after their engagement. They had a second wedding a month later. 

The singer filed for divorce on August 20, 2024, on the two-year anniversary of their second wedding ceremony.

The pair were previously engaged in 2002.

Affleck proposed the first time with a pink, 6.1 carat, Harry Winston ring rumoured to be worth a whopping $US2.5 million (approx. $4 million).

Lopez has been been engaged six times. Before rekindling her romance with Affleck, she was engaged to former professional baseball player Alex Rodriguez, who proposed with a 15-carat emerald cut ring.

Lopez has also had expensive rings from her three ex-husbands, Marc Anthony, Cris Judd and Ojani Noa.

As part of her divorce settlement with Affleck, neither of the stars will pay the other spousal support.

Lopez will also drop Affleck from her legal name.
