Justin Bieber Unfollowed Scooter Braun On Instagram, Breakdown

Justin Bieber’s Instagram activity gets more and more chaotic by the day, I stg. Shortly after that strange, seemingly hostile Story exchange he had with Hailey Bieber, the “Yummy” singer blocked his former manager and my No. 1 opp, Scooter Braun. Scooter then deactivated his Insta account, and many of us were thrilled about that development. (Due to his purchase of Taylor Swift’s masters, allegedly without her consent, and Madison Beer’s allegations that he demeaned and bullied her, Scooter’s a very controversial, unlikable figure.)

But Justin’s unfollowing didn’t end there. He also apparently blocked Allison Kaye (his former manager), Ryan Good (his former creative director of Drew House), and Kenny Hamilton (his former longtime bodyguard and friend).

Soo, what’s going on with this random blocking spree?? Why is Justin Bieber now unfollowing Scooter Braun, his former manager of 15 years? Let’s get into it.

Although it’s unclear exactly why Justin is blocking Scooter and his other former team members now, there were rumors about a conflict between Scooter and Justin back in 2023. At the time, Billboard reported that Justin was “actively looking at how he might extract himself” from his contract with Scooter.

And extract himself, he did. Justin and Scooter parted ways in August 2023. There’s clearly some major Scooter-related scandal that’s been kept under wraps so far, because Scooter’s other former A-list clients parted ways with him too: Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, David Guetta, Black Eyed Peas, and Carly Rae Jepson stopped working with the music manager that year. Scooter announced his retirement in June 2024, presumably because he had no one relevant left to manage.

Although I’m happy he’s retired from managing, I would like to see more of a downfall/cancelation situation. The inevitable Scooter Braun exposé is one of my Roman Empires. (I even manifested it on my list of 2025 pop culture predictions.) I am DYING to know what this infamous music industry villain did (besides the awful things we already know about). After all, you gotta do something really bad for every one of your clients to ditch you…. allegedly.

Per a screenshot shared by Stephanie Tleiji on TikTok, someone messaged Kenny on Instagram, asking why Justin blocked him. Justin’s former bodyguard allegedly claimed that the blocking was “out of nowhere.” He added, “Wish him the best tho. Always will love and support him.” Justin unfollowing his former team is more surprising than him blocking Scooter, but maybe it’s because of their connection to Scooter…

Sigh. We’ll just have to keep waiting for the New York Times report or the docuseries or however the Scooter tea comes out. It will come out. It must!!
