Kelsey Parker and Husband Tom Parker
The Wanted’s Tom Parker’s widow, Kelsey Parker, reveals she is holding a Father’s Day charity football match in memory of her late husband to raise money for brain tumour research. With celebrities rallying by his side, Kelsey Parker fights to carry on Tom’s work and demands to see government money to beat the disease that took his life.
Kelsey Parker Gets Love From Celebrity
Kelsey Parker is battling brain cancer despite her husband Tom Parker’s death as she pays tribute to the late The Wanted singer with a charity football match. On 16 June – Father’s Day, the event will be attended by a parade of stars coming together and showing their support for Kelsey (pictured with Scottie and Tom) as she remembers Tom.
Remembering Tom Parker
The Wanted star Tom Parker was shot to fame as a band member. He died at 33 of a brain tumour after an 18-month fight against cancer. This was the unwelcome second familial loss as Tom and Kelsey Parker shared two children, Aurelia, four, and Bodhi, three.
Tom Parker Charity Football Game
The charity football match is the second event Kelsey Parker has put on in memory of Tom. The event will be hosted by Scott Thomas and officiated by Premier League referee Mike Dean. Speaking exclusively to OK! As promised, Kelsey tweeted how much she was excited for the same:
I can’t wait for the celeb football this year! ✨👏🏽 This year, we have a whole host of celebs from Corrie, EastEnders, Love Island, Gogglebox and more, and there is someone for everyone!
Kelsey Parker also called attention to Mike Dean, whose daughter was a massive fan of The Wanted and even went along to Tom’s funeral. Mike volunteered to referee this match when he heard we were having another one. It should be a fantastic day out for all the family—we will have a selection of stalls, face painters, food, and drink, and hopefully, the weather will be nice too!
Celebrity Participants
Celebrities from the world of sport, film and TV have all signed up to take part in the football match, which includes:
- TOWIE’s Dan Osborne
- Corrie’s Alex Bain
- EastEnders star Thomas Law
- MAFS’ Georges Berthonneau
- Love Island star Finley Tapp
- Eddie Kadi (comedian & BBC1 DJ)
- Made In Chelsea’s Temps
- P Romeo & The Hollyoaks star Richard Blackwood

Kelsey Parker also underlined the event’s significance in supporting awareness, funds, and brain tumour investigation. She said, “It’s a day to honour Tom and all the other dads who are no longer with us. And we want to do this to raise as much money as possible for brain tumour research, such an underfunded area with just 1% of the government’s funding- something unacceptable. That was Tom’s dream, and I want to keep his dream alive.
Kelsey Parker Touching Tribute
To mark the second anniversary of Tom’s death, Kelsey Parker shared a tribute to the man she still considers her husband, saying that things have grown “harder, not easier”. She posted clips from the couple’s happy moments and captioned it as, “Can’t believe it has been two years ❤️. It seems like it was just yesterday that you all took off and left us, but I feel that I have been on my own for a long time now, and so many things have changed since you were here. You would be so proud of what we’ve done 🦋😢
Moving Forward
However, Kelsey Parker recently revealed she split from electrician Sean Boggans eight months after Tom’s death. The flame-haired star wrote on her Instagram page, “Shame it didn’t work out, as he’s a lovely bloke, but it just wasn’t right. Hopefully, one day, I will meet someone and fall in love again.
As Kelsey Parker continues her work in keeping Tom’s legacy alive and trying to make a difference in brain tumour research, she has the continued support of her celebrity pals and the public in her plight to make it count.
