Hollywood actor James Woods has confirmed the loss of his LA home in the California wildfires.
Woods, 77, fought back tears as he spoke on CNN about his devastating loss.
“One day you’re swimming in the pool and the next day it’s all gone,” Woods said during the interview with Pamela Brown.

The actor had been sharing updates on social media as fire closed in on his home.
“There is no possession as priceless as friends and good neighbors during a tragedy,” he wrote.
“I can’t believe the blessings we enjoy, and I am humbly grateful.”

Speaking with CNN, the Vampires star shared an emotional moment when his wife Sara Miller Woods’ niece offered them her piggy bank to help rebuild their home.
“I posted this on X, but Sara was on with her eight-year-old niece last night and she came out…” he began, fighting back tears before apologising for his emotions.
“Just, one day you’re swimming in the pool and the next day it’s all gone,” he continued.

”But she came out with her little Yeti piggy bank for us to rebuild our house” adding that he he would “be stronger than this” following the loss.
There are multiple fires burning across Southern California, forcing tens of thousands of residents to evacuate their homes.
TV shows Hacks and Suits L.A have temporarily stopped production and a number of Hollywood events have been cancelled including The Critics Choice Awards which were set to take place in Santa Monica on Sunday. The Screen Actors Guild Awards has cancelled their live nominations announcement.
The Los Angeles premieres of Jennifer Lopez’s new movie Unstoppable and the premiere of Robbie Williams’ biopic have both been scrapped.
The Pacific Palisades inferno has torn through the affluent coastal neighbourhood, home to many celebrities including Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Chris Pratt, Michael Keaton and Adam Sandler.
Reality TV stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have also lost their home in the fire, sharing their devastation on social media.
Eugene Levy, the Schitt’s Creek actor who also lives in the area, told local media he was forced to evacuate his home.
“The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon. I couldn’t see any flames but the smoke was very dark,” he told the Los Angeles Times.
There are presently four fires burning, the Palisades fire West of Los Angeles, the Eaton fire north of Pasadena in the Altadena area, the Hurst fire in Sylmar, a San Fernando Valley community in northern Los Angeles and the Woodley fire in San Fernando Valley.
