I don’t care which side you stand on: little miss Lexi Wood was pretty much the only reason season 9 of Summer House was spicy AF. Sure, I technically have to give credit to Jesse Solomon, too, but I’m going to do that later, during a 37-minute moment of silence with socks off and toes in the air. Which is why I’m oh so disappointed the dainty diva made a big announcement about her next chapter on the Bravo series that girl’s girls everywhere are going to be surprised by.
After Paige chucked up the deuces to lounge with her cat and truly haunting rumors it could be Lindsay’s last summer, too, I’m in a parasocial existential crisis about the fate of the show. What’s going to change next? Is West going to start speaking complete sentences during confrontations?! Is Kyle going to stop shoving Loverboy in our faces every scene?!? Is the show even going to stay in the Hamptons?!?! Before I start seriously spiraling, I must sadly break the news: Lexi Wood announced she’s leaving Summer House, and there are some clues about why.

Lexi starts her statement by saying though it didn’t go as planned (lol, hmmm, wonder why) her singular season on Summer House “taught [her] a lot.” Why, you may ask? Because she “stood up for women and for what’s right, even when it wasn’t easy and I’d do that again in a heartbeat.” Okay, preach, sis! And I need all the female fans who were ruthlessly rooting for the girlies to slay the boys last summer to keep that same energy. Lexi continues that she’s proud of the way she handled herself, what she “walked away from” (I think we got the Jesse memo here), and more importantly, what she’s “walking toward” because “Big things are coming!” I guess we’ll have to wait and see, won’t we?
Did Lexi Wood quit Summer House?
Yes, as Lexi notes in her statement, joining the Bravo show was “not the summer she signed up for,” so she is “leaving Summer House,” which sounds like departing on her own terms. This line, plus several others in her Instagram Story post, make it clear that Lexi found her summer fling with Jesse to be a total flop (though she also notes she doesn’t regret it). With Jesse surely returning for the season (like any of those dudes are gonna turn down camera time), and the not-so-supportive reactions to her sharing her side, I guess Lexi preferred to exit the equation? And all before we even got the dang lip liner tutorial. Damn.
