The Islanders Who Will First Get into Couples When They Meet
Once the singletons arrive in the villa, they will get to know one another whilst they are coupled up within a matter of minutes. However, there is still a twist: within hours of moving into the iconic villa during the day; host Maya Jama will surprise the Islanders in the evening and bring them to the fire pit.
Maya Jama to quiz Islanders on their First Day in Paradise
Maya Jama will interrogate the Islanders on their first day in paradise and how they’re faring in their couples. Maya will then ask, in typical Love Island style, “It’s good to see that you’re all settled in, but you know this is Love Island, right? You should be prepared for anything and everything.
How this went down with the Islanders
Upon hearing the revelation, islander Ayo Odukoya will exclaim: “Oh my God,” with Patsy Field telling him: “What?! Patsy, 28 (ITV)Ayo, 21 (ITV)There are also 13 more islanders who will be joining tonight for the launch episode.

Islanders To Be Publicly Ranked By First Impressions
They will also rank each other on who they believe has the most ‘fortnight or girlfriend material’ regarding first impressions as they set foot in the villa. Maya Jama will say to the group before coupling up: “You lot have been spending time together so you’ve had your first impression kind of thing, no? First impressions count.”
Rate boys, boys rate… — Girls, Girls rate…
“Okay, boys and girls, time to rank each other in terms of who you feel has given off the most potential partner vibes down to who has probably come across the lowest,” Maya says. The girls will then huddle and rank the boys from most to least as potential boyfriends. After that, the boys will have their turn to rank the girls from girlfriend material: most suitable to least suitable.
The Girls → Rankings Ruffle Feathers
As expected, the islanders’ decision does not sit well with the girls. The islanders will then be informed of the catch – that they don’t get to choose who they’re coupled up with at all because the ranking has done that for them – landing properly for even more weight behind the choices than initially perceived.
