Love Island’s Faye Winter is ready to dive back into the dating pool after spending much-needed time following her highly publicized breakup with fellow Love Island star Teddy Soares. The 28-year-old reality TV personality has opened up about her return to the dating scene, revealing her excitement to find the perfect balance between enjoying new romantic connections and cherishing her independence.
In an exclusive chat with the Mirror, Faye candidly shared, “I focused on myself last year and made a commitment to not even look or speak to the opposite sex – no, thank you, I wasn’t interested.” However, she’s now ready to embrace dating again, but on her own terms. “I am dating now but taking it as a journey. I’m going to enjoy dating, going out, even getting my confidence up to walk into a restaurant and sit down and meet somebody for a drink.”
Love Island offered Faye an incredible opportunity for personal growth, allowing her to embrace vulnerability – a trait she once perceived as a weakness. “My time in there made me realize that it is fine to be vulnerable. It’s not a weakness to show your vulnerability,” she reflected. While grateful for the experience, Faye admitted that returning to the Love Island villa might not be in the cards. “I don’t know if I’d want to date again on such a national public platform. I found that very difficult.”

As Faye navigates the dating scene, her furry companion, Bonnie, remains her top priority. “Bonnie, my dog, is my main priority, and as long as she’s okay, I can then do me afterward, but she is my main priority,” she shared. Faye’s busy schedule means she often misses social events, but she wouldn’t have it any other way, valuing her independence and personal space alongside new romantic connections.
While open to finding love again, Faye’s approach to dating is refreshingly grounded. “I like having my own space, so I need that happy medium of ‘okay, you’re there, we can date, but I also like my space, and I like to be alone,'” she explained, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a healthy balance.
Love Island may have kickstarted Faye’s journey to self-discovery, but her future endeavors are now firmly in her own hands. As she navigates the dating world with newfound confidence and independence, Faye’s priorities remain clear: cherishing her beloved dog Bonnie, embracing vulnerability, and finding a partner who respects her need for personal space and growth.
