Love Island Stars Tommy Fury
Love Island favorites Tommy Fury and Molly Mae Hague are again proving their relationship is more vital than ever by supporting each other at the upcoming Soccer Aid charity event. Boxing star and former Love Island contestant Tommy Fury has revealed that his fiancée Molly Mae will be in the stands cheering him on as he takes the pitch for the World XI team at Soccer Aid on Sunday, June 9th.
Addressing Rift Rumors Head-On
The couple’s united front at Soccer Aid puts to rest any rumors of a potential split that have circulated in recent weeks. Tommy assured fans that while their one-year-old daughter Bambi will stay home, Molly Mae, his family, and friends will be present to back him at the highly-anticipated charity match.
“Molly is going to come down, and my brothers and friends,” Tommy stated at the Soccer Aid launch event on Friday. “Bambi would have come, but she goes to bed at quarter to seven, so it’s a bit late for her, but it is what it is. It will be a great night – she can watch it in her dreams.”
Soccer Aid for UNICEF’s Mission
Now in its 17th year, Soccer Aid aims to raise funds for UNICEF’s global efforts to ensure child survival, protection, and development. The charity football match has already amassed over £90 million for the cause, hoping this year’s event will push donations past the £100 million milestone.
Love Island’s Tommy Fury Joins Star-Studded Lineups
Irish-Mauritian boxer Tommy Fury, who rose to fame on the hit reality show Love Island in 2019, will be suiting up for the World XI squad alongside various celebrities from both sides. The international team includes Scottish actor Martin Compston, American radio host Roman Kemp, Irish comedians Lee Mack and Jason Manford, and more.
They’ll go head-to-head against an England roster featuring cricket star Stuart Broad, late television presenter Dale Winton’s son Bobby Brazier, reality personalities Sam Thompson and Mo Farah, and actor Danny Dyer. Legendary footballers like David James, Jill Scott, Theo Walcott, and Eden Hazard will also take the field for both teams.
A Humble Competitor
Though he’s earned his stripes in the boxing ring, Tommy admits his football skills may not be up to par with some of his Soccer Aid teammates. “Everybody seems to be good apart from me,” he laughed. “I will be giving it my best shot. I think side tackling will be my thing, but I won’t try until Sunday as I don’t want to get injured.”
However, he remains focused on the bigger picture. “Everyone is here for the same reason, and we all want to do our best…Everyone knows football is not my thing. I am a boxer, but it is nice to come here and try my best to help meet that target for UNICEF.”
All eyes will be on Stamford Bridge in London this Sunday as Love Island’s Tommy Fury, supported by his wife-to-be Molly Mae, joins forces with an impressive lineup of celebrities and athletes to raise money and awareness for UNICEF’s lifesaving work for children around the world.
