What started as a fun night at the Gracie Abrams concert devolved into serious legal trouble for Love Island USA star Hannah Smith. She got slapped with not one, but two felony charges from her messy arrest in Atlanta last year.
In case you missed it, the reality star was kicked out of the concert venue. When a cop tried to escort her to an Uber, Hannah had a meltdown. She allegedly started cussing at the cops and trying to attack them. Now, the incident has landed her in some serious hot water.
Don’t expect to see her back on Love Island anytime soon…
Love Island’s Hannah Smith faces charges of making “terroristic threats”
The more details that have emerged about this case, the worse it gets for Hannah. The original police report accused Hannah of making racial remarks to the officer, whose name is Kayla Winkfield.
“B*tch. I can’t wait to kill you, you dumbass, ugly bitch ’cause you’re f*cking fat, and they love us skinny bitches ’cause you’re f*cking Black, and I hate Black bitches so I can’t wait to kill you and your sister, you dumbass b*tch,” Hannah allegedly told the officer.
Clearly, the country prosecutor took Hannah’s words very seriously. According to People, Hannah’s charges included two felonies for obstruction of officers and terroristic threats. You can’t just threaten to kill a cop and get away with it.
The court docs explained, “[Hannah] knowingly and willfully obstruct [sic] Cobb County Police Department Officer Kayla Winkfield, in the lawful discharge of her official duties by offering to do violence to said person, by lunging at and attempting to punch and kick Officer Kayla Winkfield.”
The Love Island alum managed to get out of jail on $8,000 bail. Plus, they told her that she had to stay sober and submit to random drug tests. She got home and deleted her Instagram, meaning we may never see this woman again.
Meanwhile, Hannah’s lawyer insinuated that she may have been a victim in all of this as well. In a statement, he said that Hannah left her drink unattended that night and has “no memory” of what happened.
