Love Island USA Miguel Harichi Shares Why He Calls Leah Kateb ‘My Wife
Miguel Harichi, a standout star from Love Island USA Season 6, is head over heels in love with his girlfriend, Leah Kateb. The couple continues to share their blossoming relationship with fans, and recently, Harichi opened up to Us Weekly about the sweet reason he calls Kateb “my wife”—despite not being legally married.
“Things are going great, and it’s never boring with us,” Harichi, 27, shared with Us Weekly while attending Innisfree’s skincare launch on December 10. “I love her more and more every day. Our relationship is just progressing.”
Whether enjoying trips to Las Vegas or spending quiet moments together at Kateb’s Los Angeles home, the couple constantly documents their love story on social media. Fans have noticed Harichi calling Kateb “my wife” in some of his TikTok videos.
While the couple hasn’t tied the knot yet, Harichi explained the significance behind the affectionate term. “She’s not my wife legally,” he clarified, “but for me, I just view her as my wife. When I date, I date for marriage. I don’t see any short-term things. Even though we aren’t married yet, I view her as my woman, second half, and wife. It’s my way of calling her my queen, my princess.”
Harichi, originally from England, met Kateb, 25, during season 6 of Love Island USA. They have since committed to growing their relationship away from the cameras. In the season finale, the couple promised to stay together, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
Looking ahead, Harichi plans to make Los Angeles his permanent home once his visa process is complete. “I’ve had a six-month work visa,” he shared. “I’m planning on returning to the U.K. to renew and extend it. My goal is to make LA my home.”
In the meantime, Harichi is cherishing every moment with Kateb. From low-key dinners to relaxing together at home, the couple finds joy in simple pleasures. “We can just sit in the bedroom the whole day doing nothing, and we’ll find a way to entertain each other,” he joked,
And amid their fun, skincare remains a priority for the reality star.
