When did Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song start dating?
Before things turned romantic between Culkin and Song, their relationship kicked off as a professional one when they starred alongside one another in the 2019 film Changeland. Though filming began in 2017, they had actually met years prior. Not long after filming started romance rumors started swirling, and by the following year, they were official since those early days of “what ifs” after wrapping their first film together and wondering where things might go, the couple have certainly found their groove.
“When I met Mack, there was so much more of me that I hadn’t figured out,” Song told Cosmopolitan. “He made me such a bigger person, and I was like, ‘Oh my god. I didn’t realize that there were so many things I didn’t know about myself.’” And Mack is never one to shy away from hyping up his lady! “God bless, Brenda is a champion,” Culkin recently told E! News. “She’s the best person. I wake up every day knowing I’m lucky. Not feeling I feel lucky, but I know I’m lucky.”

Since getting together, Brenda and Macaulay have welcomed two kids, Carson and Dakota—and navigating life as both an actress and a mom was something Song struggled with at first. “I had no idea what I was doing. I went back to work so early. It was harder than I thought. I pride myself on always being first on set. So to be like, ‘Hey, I need 20 minutes to pump,’ was difficult. The hours away from my son took a toll on me,” she told The Cut after the birth of her first son, Dakota. “Learning my own boundaries while trying to take care of my son and my family—that was hard. But I had a great support system and knew my son was taken care of; I just had FOMO.”
Are Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin married?
Culkin and Song got engaged in 2022 not long after welcoming their first son, but as two busy parents with careers and two youngsters, finding time to plan a wedding is harder than usual. “We talked about eloping,” Song told Cosmopolitan. “But I was like, ‘If we eloped, my mom would have a heart attack that she wasn’t going to be there…’”
