MAFS UK star Holly clarifies relationship status with Alex

Married at First Sight UK‘s Holly Ditchfield has set the record straight about where she and her TV husband Alex Henry stand now the show has ended.

Holly and Alex met at the altar on the 9th season of the E4 reality TV series. Despite going strong at first, some unresolved tensions between them led to a temporary separation when Holly took a break to reunite with her children. This was followed by a Commitment Ceremony, during which they both decided to leave.

Not long after the show aired its finale, Holly responded to fans’ questions on her Instagram Stories.

Probably referring to the duo’s post-MAFS appearances together, one of Holly’s followers quizzed her about the reason why she “split up again” with Alex.

As it turns out, Holly and Alex never got back together after she left the series and were instead focused on building a friendship.

“We was never back together; we was working on a friendship,” Holly responded.

The pair called it quits on the show before getting to the Final Decision stage. After their final, explosive confrontation, both Holly and Alex shared social media posts in which they reflected on their experiences in the experiment.

While Alex said their relationship just “wasn’t meant to be” and wished Holly “nothing but the best”, her message didn’t mention him.

MAFS taught me so much about myself things that I never knew I was capable of doing I accomplished. I am proud of me,” she wrote.

“Thank you to my amazing MAFS family! My family! My friends and all the lovely people I have met along the way. Over and out.”
