MAFS UK’s Lacey speaks out on Nathan split for the first time

For the first time since she broke up with Nathan Campbell, Married at First Sight UK star Lacey Martin spoke out.

There were recent rumors that the two had broken up after the meeting for season nine of the reality show. This week, Nathan revealed the news, saying that Lacey “chosen to part ways” and that he has “nothing but love and good wishes for her.”

In a new interview with The Sun, Lacey talked about their breakup for the first time. She said that Nathan “blocked” her after she told him he wasn’t backing her Race For Life charity.

“I genuinely didn’t think he would do this to me. What we had was so real and special,” she said.

“Nathan always used to say to me, ‘Oh, this is the relationship I’ve always wanted’, in terms of always laughing together, always dancing together. I could be my full self and he could be his, and I accepted him for him.”

The reality star went on to share that, since Nathan has ADHD, she researched the condition and how it affects relationships in an effort to strengthen their bond.

“He’s never had anyone, from what he told me, that’s really gone above and beyond,” she continued.

“And I just feel like, what thanks do I get? He’s just blocked me, like I’m nothing, and that’s what really hurts.

“I did try and make Nathan realise that when I’ve tried to reach out, like, even the strongest couples argue, but to completely withdraw and block me has broke my heart because despite our relationship, we had a good friendship and I just felt like I didn’t deserve how he treated me.”

Lacey said she is “pouring the love” and “focusing” on herself right now. She also said, “My mental health has gone really bad since this relationship because he was my best friend.”

“It’s like you’re grieving a person that’s still alive because you went from 100 to zero, basically,” she said.

“I’m crying because we had such a good relationship and real feelings for each other.” Also, I don’t see why someone who loves someone would want to let them go. You’d fight, like.

“I just feel like I’ve lost touch with him.” He didn’t seem to value me enough in the end, which hurts me.
