MAFS UK’s Sacha says she’s “married again” but there’s a twist

Married at First Sight UK star Sacha Jones is wearing a new band on her ring finger as she’s shared she’s got “married” again.

No, she and her TV ex Ross McCarthy haven’t rekindled their relationship. On TikTok, Sacha explained she’s now proudly wearing a purity ring as a sign to her commitment to God and her vow to not have sex until marriage.

“A purity ring just represents your commitment to God and vowing to stay abstinent until marriage,” she said in the video, showing her ring adorned with angel wings.

“They’re on your hand as a reminder of your vow to God if you ever get tempted,” she added.

On MAFS, Sacha made her views on sex outside of established relationships clear when she said she was abstinent after splitting from her boyfriend, and plans to continue being so.

“Since leaving the show and finding my faith you may have heard me in interviews say I don’t think I would ever be intimate before marriage now but this represents that final decision,” she said.

Sacha says her decision to wear a purity ring came after seeing videos of people wearing them on social media, which she “took as a bit of a sign”.

“I knew God was communicating with me,” she said.

While Sacha says she wishes purity rings would gain more popularity in the UK, she knows hers may put off some potential suitors.

“I’m fully aware that I might not meet anyone, and I’m okay with that,” she said. “And in that case I might be single for the rest of my life but I’ll be committed to the Lord and that’s all I care about.”
