New Report Suggests No Official RHONJ Decisions Yet Made

Fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey are hoping to hear whether the show is returning for Season 15. The toxicity levels of Season 14 left the cast unable to be in the same room together for a reunion. How can they film a show if nobody can get along? Though production is in touch with the cast, an official decision on who stays and who goes hasn’t been forthcoming.

“There’s still an open line of communication but no news on who is coming back,” a source says. “Production wants the show to come back [and is willing to] see how they can make it work.”

Despite the cast waiting to hear their fate, reportedly it’s Bravo that’s “stalling … None of the Housewives have heard anything from the network,” the insider tells Us Weekly. This information goes contrary to Kim DePaola’s recent revelation that the cast “were all officially released from their contracts.”

A Bravo spokesperson gave a statement that “no decisions have been made around casting for RHONJ.” The show has been on a timeout since Season 14 ended in August 2024. Most of the fighting has been between the sisters-in-law, OG Teresa Giudice, and her brother’s wife Melissa Gorga, who joined the cast in Season 2. The rest of the cast has picked sides in a reality version of the Hatfields vs. the McCoys. The feud came to a head in Season 14 when Teresa and Melissa refused to film together.

It all started years ago when Melissa brought sprinkle cookies to Teresa’s house on Christmas Day. For some reason, Teresa took offense at the cookies and threw them in the trash. I think what it really comes down to is that Teresa is upset that her brother Joe Gorga takes his wife’s side against his sister.

Debate surrounds the show’s possible return and who might come back. One viral report claims Bravo is courting Melissa and Dolores Catania to return, while Teresa would get her own spinoff. Fortunately, Us Weekly’s source denies that rumor.

By the end of Season 14 rumors were already swirling about RHONJ getting rebooted a lá The Real Housewives of New York. However, Executive Producer Andy Cohen denied that scenario.

“There was a lot of play with that one and I think the answer is, I was talking to a cast member about this today,” Andy said in June 2024. “We are gonna cross next season as that comes.” He added that Bravo would “take a minute to figure things out” and didn’t want to make any hasty decisions about the future of RHONJ.

Over the past several months, Andy has repeatedly asked the show’s fans to be patient about learning the fate of RHONJ. “You’re not gonna get it for, like, a year, so everyone stop asking,” he said. “I keep saying you are going to get nothing, so stop asking!”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey is now streaming on Peacock.
