New Sister Wives Trailer Reveals Show’s Return Date

Documenting the ongoing destruction of the Brown family, TLC teases the return of Sister Wives next month. In a TikTok video, we see snippets of the tension growing between Kody Brown and two of his three ex-wives.

While his exes only want to protect themselves and their assets, Kody likes to play the victim. He’s the hero of his own story, and he just doesn’t get why anybody would ever want to leave him.

Even though Season 19 of the show already aired 20 episodes, apparently there’s more to tell. The “back half” of the season picks up right where we left off.

The new Sister Wives trailer reveals its return date on TLC

The teaser opens with Janelle Brown explaining to Meri Brown, “As long as that property remains a source of contention, I can’t fully move on.”

Of course, Janelle is talking about the Coyote Pass property the family purchased when they first moved to Flagstaff, Arizona. At the time, they all chipped in to buy the land, planning to eventually build their forever homes and create their own cozy community.

“Janelle, I’m so mad,” Meri responds. “I’m gonna have to get some lawyers involved.”

But in a show confessional, Kody disputes his ex-wife’s position. “I’m not trying to rip you off, Meri,” he shouts angrily.

“There’s a few things that I will fight for,” Meri says in voiceover, “and this is one of them.”

Back in her home in Parowan, Utah, Meri tells her friend, “There’s so many people that are, like, ‘She was a liar … She was manipulating.’”

Meanwhile, Kody’s only remaining wife Robyn Brown claims, “I always had Meri’s back. Even when people were plotting against her, ignoring her.” Actually, it was Robyn who was manipulative. For years she coerced Meri to stay, when it was obvious Kody no longer loved her.

“I had this bond with [Robyn],” Meri admits. “I’m now questioning [that bond]. Why tell me that you want to have a relationship with me, and then ghost me?

A new Sister Wives Tell All is coming in Season 19 on TLC

In a preview of the Sister Wives Tell All, interviewer Sukanya Krishnan asks, “Do you feel Kody abandoned Meri?” Of course he did. He divorced Meri, his only legal wife, so he could marry his true love Robyn, and adopt her kids. Then he ignored Meri. Her loneliness led her to strike up an online romance, which turned out to be a catfish situation.

“We were all abandoned,” adds ex-wife Christine Brown, who’s now happily married to monogamist David Woolley.

Finally, Kody totally loses his cool and yells at Sukanya. “I am so sick and tired of being guilted for loving Robyn,” he whines. Of course, Kody believes he is never wrong. He’s never been able to admit he’s made mistakes in his life, and he never will.

Sitting next to him, Robyn laughs, “Whatever. I don’t care.”

“Marrying these women and living a plural life,” Sukanya begins, “would you do it all again?”

“Listen, Suki,” Kody says. “I want to shut you down now.”

My guess is that his answer is a solid no, but we’ll just have to wait and see when the interview airs.

Sister Wives returns April 20 at 10/9c on TLC.
