When Kieran Culkin took to the stage to accept his Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, he had just one thing on his mind: kids.
The A Real Pain star revealed he made a deal with his wife Jazz Charton that if he won an Oscar, they could have a third and fourth child together.
As he gave his acceptance speech, Culkin shouted out his wife, who watched from the audience, and explained how this deal had come about.

“I want to tell a really quick story about Jazz,” he said.
He proceeded to recall the moment he publicly asked his wife for a third child after winning the Emmy Award for best actor for HBO’s Succession.
Apparently, before his Emmy win, Charton said she would have a third kid with him if he won the Emmy.
“About a year ago I was on a stage like this and I very stupidly, publicly said that I want a third kid from her, because she said if I won the award she would give me the kid,” Culkin explained.

“It turns out she said that ’cause she didn’t think I was going to win,” he conceded.
From the audience, Charton agreed, mouthing the words, “it’s true”.
After that Emmy win, Culkin says Charton exclaimed, “Oh god, I guess I did say that, I guess I owe you a third kid”.
He then turned to her and said, “Really, I want four”.
As he made this revelation, the crowd burst into laughter and applause.

In response, Culkin explains, Charton said, “I will give you four when you win an Oscar”.
“I held my hand out, she shook it and I have not brought it up once until just now,” he said before turning to face his wife, “you remember that honey, you do?”
From the crowd, Charton nodded.
Well now that moment has come.
“I just have this to say to you Jazz, love of my life, ye of little faith,” he said to a laughing crowd.
“No pressure, I love you, I’m really sorry I did this again and let’s get cracking on those kids. What do you say?”

The couple already share two children – their five-year-old daughter Kinsey and three-year-old son Wilder. But he’s now gunning for two more and Charton doesn’t seem to mind, if her laughter during her husband’s Oscars acceptance speech is anything to go by.
Earlier in his speech, Culkin expressed his surprise at his first-ever Oscars win.
“Oh my god that’s crazy,” he exclaimed he accepted the speech.
“Mr Downey sir thanks for handing this to me, this means a lot coming from you,” he said to Robert Downey Jr. who had presented him with the award.

“I have no idea how I got here, I’ve just been acting my whole life, it’s just been a part of what I do so I felt like this was never my trajectory,” he continued.
“But however I got here I know that Emily Gerson Saines, my manager of thirty years, it’s because of you. Thank you for being there, I lean on you for everything so please don’t go anywhere, I’d be completely lost without you, I love you.
He proceeded to shout out his costars, crew and family as he accepted the esteemed award.
