Porsha Williams is opening up about her relationship with longtime friend Shamea Morton and addressing the current dynamics of their friendship, particularly as they both appear on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. As Shamea steps into her first full-time role on the show, things seem to have shifted between the two BFFs.

During a recent Instagram Live session obtained by the Jasmine Brand, Porsha responded to comments made by RHOA veteran Kandi Burruss, who suggested that Porsha and Shamea aren’t as close as they once were. Porsha admitted there is some truth to Kandi’s words. “I think what Kandi said was, she doesn’t believe we’re as cool as we used to be. And yes, that’s true,” Porsha said. She explained that being on the show has created changes in their relationship. “When you come on a show and you have certain expectations and then things seem to turn on you without you knowing, that can change any relationship.”

Despite this, Porsha dismissed any drama, clarifying, “I don’t think Kandi said anything like that. Don’t be trying to stir things up, now.”
When asked why she didn’t promote Shamea’s new music on her social media, Porsha clarified that she never received the track. “She didn’t send it to me to post. I guess Shamea sent it to everybody, but she didn’t send it to me, so I didn’t have it to post,” Porsha explained.
The conversation then shifted to RHOA co-star Drew Sidora, who has been causing a stir this season. Specifically, Porsha was asked about Drew filming with her ex, Dennis McKinley. Porsha admitted she wasn’t surprised by the situation, stating, “I think Drew… a lot of ya’ll didn’t want Drew back on the show, so I think coming into this season, she had her readymade storyline with baby daddy, and they knew I would react, because who wouldn’t?”

Porsha further expressed her feelings, adding, “If somebody is trying to film behind your back, you’re going to have something to say. I mean if I was filming with Ralph and she found out she would be like ‘wait a minute, why didn’t you just give me a heads up.’ So yes, if we’re doing business together, she works for me, I just expect a courtesy call that you’re gonna start a whole other storyline of filming with Dennis.”
Another point of tension between the two stars arose when Drew took part in a photoshoot for Go Naked Hair, a brand Porsha is closely associated with, without informing her. Porsha didn’t hold back, saying, “If you’re going to do a photoshoot that’s beyond content online, you should tell the owner of the company. Drew just does what she thinks she gotta do to stay on the show. I’m not mad at her anymore.”
Despite these disagreements, Porsha made it clear that there’s no hard feelings. “Drew gon’ be Drew. Let Drew be Drew. Support her music,” she said, also encouraging fans to support Shamea’s new music as well.
