For a long time, Kyle Richards has been the narrator of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The mother of four has played more by her own rules than that of producers, and needless to say, it has grated on her fellow costars.
Kyle Richards might have too much creative control
Information is coming out of the woodwork about Kyle’s current role on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. An insider told OK! “Her and Dorit are going at it, and the other women are not holding back — à la Sutton Stracke discussing infidelity and Garcelle Beauvais’ tongue-in-cheek [remark] telling Richards to be a lesbian if it makes her happy.” Fans recently watched as her two friends didn’t hold back their opinions about her lifestyle, and it was clear from the vein in her forehead that Kyle wasn’t pleased with their input.
According to the source, “The women are truly sick of her always acting like the queen bee and not being completely transparent,” they continued. “Some of them definitely are attempting to take her down this season, however, she’s a producer on the show. Due to her role as a producer, the story always tends to go her way and she tends to typically get what she wants, regardless of that being unfair to any other cast members on the show.” But how long can Kyle hold onto her throne? The natives are growing restless, with storylines “being swayed her way” according to the insider. “Kyle definitely has had her share of stuff in her closet for years, but again, with her being the producer, a lot tends to get buried or swayed,” added the Bravo source.
The 90210 diamonds are at their wit’s end
If I were Kyle’s cast member, I would be getting annoyed, too. For years, viewers of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have just wanted Kyle to provide answers to some unanswered questions. When Kyle opted to have Morgan Wade on during Season 13, viewers thought that the child actor was going to come clean with her story, but all we got was one episode of the two together at a tattoo parlor. Fans as well as her fellow cast members, are over Kyle’s “pity party.” Life & Style reported that Kyle’s ongoing frustrations were being played out through constant crying. We’ve already seen Kyle lose it on Dorit Kemsley.
Her co-stars are “are sick of her whining, saying she tries to portray herself as a victim, a woman who’s been wronged.” I can see why the group has little patience for Kyle’s antics. She seems to be making her issues bigger than they are. While Mauricio Umansky appears to be embracing his single life, I get the feeling Kyle is still in limbo. Even though she is a producer she is doing a pretty bad job at telling her story, in my opinion. She either needs to leave the series for good or start being honest with herself and her fans.
Kyle Richards is taking five
As Real Housewives of Beverly Hills followers will see, Kyle took a break from filming Season 14. Naturally, with so much going on, Kyle has been on the receiving end of a long list of questions. But instead of being a pro in front of the camera, she seems to have crumbled. While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Kyle noted, “I just didn’t have it in me anymore.” She added, “I was at a point where I was so depressed, frankly. I’m not someone who gets depressed. I’ve had anxiety my entire life but never depression. I really felt like I was struggling with depression, and I expressed that. And I just felt like I could not go into scenarios all the time and just have everyone coming at me.”
It turns out that Kyle took one week off from filming. “It was absolutely the closest I’ve ever gotten to not coming back to the show. The show is a lot of pressure as it is, and I had so much going on in my personal life that was difficult and painful,” revealed Kyle. But I wonder if it was the pressure that got to Kyle. Perhaps she needed some time to regroup her thoughts for the next time she was bombarded with hard questions.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is available to stream on Peacock.
