Christine Brown is dishing the dirt in her upcoming book Sister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family and Finding Freedom.
Simon and Schuster’s website calls the Sister Wives star’s new book “a groundbreaking and heartfelt memoir … [describing how the former polygamist found] the strength to leave Mormonism—and the only life she’s known—behind.” For the first time, Christine fully shares “the journey that led her away from the Mormon church,” and spiritual husband Kody Brown. Oh, Kody’s really gonna love this.
To be fair, the Browns weren’t actually practicing Mormons. They belonged to the Apostolic United Brethren (AUB), a fundamentalist offshoot of the Mormon church.
Christine Brown has come a long way from being Kody Brown’s third wife on Sister Wives
As viewers know, Christine was Kody’s third wife. They married on March 25, 1994, and had six children together. Even though she thought she was content, Kody wasn’t the loving, attentive partner she always craved. Things went further downhill after Kody took his fourth wife and soulmate Robyn Brown in May of 2010.
After years of being ignored by Kody, Christine finally made the decision to take her youngest daughter, Truely, and leave. In November 2021, she moved back to Utah where she met “the love of her life,” David Wooley.
Christine finally got the loving, monogamous relationship she always wanted. She and David married in Moab, Utah, in October 2023. Now she has a partner she doesn’t have to share and the life she always dreamed of.
The book’s description continues, “Moving, genuine and insightful, this is a uniquely powerful tour de force.” Christine goes into detail about her decision to leave Kody, as well as her three former sister wives: Robyn, Meri Brown, and Janelle Brown.
The memoir is scheduled for release on September 16, 2025.
Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10/9c on TLC.
