This week on Southern Charm Season 10, Episode 13, “Sea’s Just Not That Into You,” will Shep finally get the message? Last week, Shep spiraled over Sienna after sending that infamous text message. When Sienna bailed on the boat trip, it seemed like he was finally starting to see the romance wouldn’t work out. Molly grew frustrated at how much the group pushed her on Shep and exposed her crush. Before that, JT’s brief Bahamas stay included a dinner where he and Craig finally got things out in the open. Madison realized things were blown out of proportion and tentatively made up with him. Venita made a move off-camera but got rejected. JT left to avoid more drama and prevent things from going further.
What happened on Southern Charm Season 10 Episode 13?

This week on Southern Charm, Shep, Sienna, Austen, and Craig, finally put it all out in the open. These two long-awaited conversations have very different results. The group prepares to leave the Bahamas and return to Charleston. Venita is excited to get back to JT, who keeps texting her paragraphs. She assumes his girlfriend is getting “crumbs” by comparison.
Shep and Sienna finally have the talk

Shep asks Craig if it would be weird to give Sienna the necklace he bought her. Craig is more weirded out that Sienna is coming to dinner at all. He makes Shep promise to accept it’s over if Sienna acts the way she has during the meal. Austen once again accuses Craig of being too harsh. Craig says he’s emotional because he cares about truth and justice. Austen says he sounds like JT.
Shep admits he hoped the dinner would be some grand coronation of his and Sienna’s relationship. When he gives the necklace to Sienna, she puts it on, and he says it accentuates her “wonderful chest.” I’m already cringing. Shep then goes on about how special and rare their connection was, so he feels this shift is sudden and like a thousand paper cuts. Sienna hasn’t seemed that into Shep all season long, so it’s like this great and serious romance he had was all in his head. In fact, Sienna argues they weren’t in a relationship. While he insists they had all these moments, she says they had fun and a good time. He accuses her of minimizing it.
Taylor sees it as Shep getting a taste of his own medicine. Leva agrees when she gets caught up on FaceTime. She says Shep is yet another 40-something guy who met a 20-something girl who was better at his own game.
“We were in love,” Shep insists. “I don’t know if we were in love,” Sienna responds. The chyron changes her from Shep’s girlfriend to his ex. Shep finally realizes it was unrequited. He feels like Ophelia in Hamlet (“Or was it Macbeth?”). They agree to have fun if tonight’s the end.
A very awkward dinner

The group comes up on the tail end of this conversation. Craig refuses to say hi to Sienna and calls Austen an enabler for doing so. Shep admits to Whitney that Sienna just dumped him. The proceeding dinner is beyond uncomfortable, and not just because Taylor realizes Shep gave Sienna a necklace just like hers (apparently it’s a different kind of shark). Once the others sit down for dinner, they start interrogating Sienna. Craig tells her about Shep’s spiral and how unhappy he’s been the past two days. Venita asks if she would ever want to be with Shep. Austen acts like everyone else is being too harsh but asks Sienna why she would tell Shep she loved him and then take it back. Pot, kettle, Austen.
Shep isn’t happy they’re attacking her and pulls her aside. He laments her comments that they never defined anything, saying that’s a millennial thing, but isn’t sure if Sienna even is a millennial. Sienna indicated this is why she didn’t want to have the conversation on the trip.
The ill-timed fireworks make this harder to watch. Sienna leaves, asking Shep not to hate her. He emphasizes that he loves her. He vents to the bartenders before sitting down to finish his dinner. Venita goes over so he won’t be completely alone. Taylor and Madison admit they feel bad, but he is getting a taste of his own medicine.
Craig and Austen finally hash things out

Craig turns his attention to Austen, asking why he hates him. Austen wonders the same. When he tells Craig he’s guilty of embellishing things, Craig utters the line we’ve been waiting for. “I’m a lawyer and a storyteller!” When he starts to go on about his self-improvement, Austen walks away.
Craig follows him and they finally have the conversation they should’ve ages ago. Craig admits that his recent life changes are because he was trying not to be an alcoholic. Austen recalls that Craig was addicted to Adderall years ago. Craig says the image Austen comments on isn’t a fake marketing persona. It’s the person he’s trying to be. He also praises Paige for helping him out. We get flashbacks to Craig’s Winter House behavior that inspired these changes. Craig also said that’s why he’s been so worried and harsh about Shep spiraling and winding up passed out on the beach. It reminds him of his own spirals. Austen and Craig emotionally agree to move forward and find new ways to spend time together. Shep jokes that he wishes he could’ve come to a similar emotional reconciliation with Sienna.
Bye bye Bahamas

The next morning, they all prepare to leave the Bahamas. Shep is ready to move on and go to Cuba. Rodrigo jokes that he would only fly to another country to watch Shep get dumped. Venita is now confident that JT shares her feelings, and is ready to return to him. As we know from her Instagram, that dinner actually happened after this trip. For now, everyone enjoys a meal with flamingos as they prepare to return to Charleston.
