Kevin and Danielle Jonas: a sweet love story that started in New Jersey

As the oldest of the Jonas Brothers, Kevin Jonas was also the first to tie the knot. Kevin met his wife, Danielle, while on vacation in the Bahamas in May 2007. While Danielle, then 20, has shared that she didn’t know who the extremely popular Jonas Brothers were, Kevin, 19 at the time, was immediately smitten. Luckily, Danielle, too, was from New Jersey and the duo quickly entered a relationship.

In July 2009, Kevin popped the question to Danielle after flying home from a performance in Vancouver. “It was tough performing last night, knowing that I was going to ask the biggest question in my life to the most amazing girl in the world,” Jonas shared at the time. He later added, “I couldn’t get the ring out of my pocket in my jacket…It was really bad!” and that Danielle “said yes, yes, yes, like 500 times super-fast in a row.”
Funnily enough, in the 2019 documentary Chasing Happiness, which recounted the Jonas Brothers’ journey back to each other, Kevin is seen speaking to Danielle on the phone while younger brothers Joe and Nick tease him. Nick then joked, “Sorry, we’re just really excited because she’s your wife,” which of course ended up being true.

The couple tied the knot on December 19, 2009. A few years later in 2012, they starred in their own reality show, Married to Jonas, where fans got a glimpse inside their life in New Jersey. In 2013, the duo announced they were expecting their first child and welcomed daughter Alena in February 2014. In 2016, Kevin and Danielle welcomed their second child, Valentina.
In 2019, fans around the world cheered as the Jonas Brothers reunited and released their first single in six years, “Sucker.” The new music video starred the partners of each Jonas Brother, including Danielle. Later that year, Kevin got a tattoo of his wife inspired by her appearance in the video.
Today, Kevin and Danielle have been together for just over 15 years and continue to show love for one another on social media.

Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift: A very quick breakup

While the middle Jonas and the pop star only dated for a short while, their relationship rocked the world. Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift, both 18 at the time, began dating in July 2008, although they kept quiet about their relationship status. During this time, Swift was a guest performer on the brothers’ Burnin’ Up tour.
However, in November 2008, Swift revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that Joe had broken up with her in a very short phone call.
“When I find that person that is right for me, he’ll be wonderful and when I look at that person, I’m not even gonna be able to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18,” she shared.

The former couple have since released multiple songs about each other, beginning with Swift’s “Forever and Always,” followed by the Jonas Brothers hit “Much Better,” among others. However, it seems the two are on good terms and have spent time together with their respective partners over the years. Jonas even changed a lyric in “Much Better” while performing from “Now I’m done with superstars” to “Now I’m cool with superstars,” which got plenty of cheers from fans.
Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato: Co-stars and lovers

After they starred together in Camp Rock (2008) and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010), Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato sparked romance rumors in March 2010. Their relationship was short-lived, however, as they broke up that May. But the former couple still had to work together as they were heading out on a joint tour.

Over the years, the two have reunited on a few occasions, snapping photos together and sharing them to social media. They shared the stage in 2016 during a concert with DNCE, Jonas’ band at the time, and reunited at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty in 2017.
“It’s really great because we all really bonded when we were younger and toured together,” Lovato shared at the time. “We’ve all watched each other evolve and grow up, and we’ve been able to be there for one another. It’s awesome.”

Despite that upsetting ending of this love story, the beginning and middle were one for the books. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner first met after Jonas slid into her DMs on Instagram and he invited her to meet up while his tour was passing through the UK in October 2016.
“I expected him to show up with security and everything. I thought he would be such a d—…He didn’t bring security. He brought a friend,” Turner revealed in an interview later on. “I remember us two spending only a couple of minutes on the dance floor, and then we found a space in the far corner and we just talked,” she said. “We talked for hours, and hours and hours. And I wasn’t bored. It wasn’t contrived, it wasn’t small talk—it was just so easy. Soon, we were inseparable. And then I went on tour with him.”

Jonas and Turner made their relationship Instagram official in January 2017, and in October they announced they were engaged in a sweet post on social media. Then, in May 2019, the couple had an impromptu Vegas wedding after attending the Billboard Music Awards, where they had Dan + Shay perform, “Elvis” as an officiator and Ring Pops in place of wedding bands. About a month later, they had a magical wedding ceremony in France.
In July 2020, the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Willa, with their second daughter, Delphine, arriving in July 2022. But sadly, in September 2023, Jonas filed for divorce. The couple shared a joint statement on Instagram announcing the decision.

Ah, first loves! That’s what Nick Jonas, the youngest of the three brothers, and Miley Cyrus were to each other after meeting at a charity event in June 2006. The two Disney stars, then 13 years old, dated for nearly two years. After they met, the Jonas Brothers did The Best of Both Worlds Tour with Cyrus, but, unfortunately, the couple split by December 2007, just before the tour came to an end.
Jonas and Cyrus, both of whom are musicians in their own right, penned smash hit songs that were clearly written about each other. Cyrus released “7 Things I Hate About You,” a video in which she is wearing Jonas’ diabetes necklace, which he later confirmed.
“I’ve heard that rumor, I’ve never directly heard that from Miley, but she does wear a dog tag that I gave her when I was 14,” Jonas said of the “7 Things” music video. “I was actually kind of flattered, to be honest, because it’s there forever and I know it’s about me.”
Jonas, meanwhile, penned the song “Wedding Bells,” as well as a few that were written during their relationship, like “Lovebug.”

But it was really hard to keep it from people. Yet another sweet relationship that spawned through Disney was that of Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez in 2008. Although they never confirmed the romance at the time, the couple had been seen spending time together on multiple occasions.
“I’ve gotten really close to the entire Jonas family this past year,” Gomez shared at the time. “Nick and I are getting to know each other, but we’re not confirming anything.”
While they split up in 2009, the two rekindled their romance in 2010 for a short time, though Jonas shared he preferred to keep that part of his life private. They split up again not long after. Gomez later shared that what they had together was “puppy love.”
“We were babies!” she shared. “We actually caught up the other day, and it’s really fun to be able to do that. That, to me, was like puppy love. It was very sweet. He’s lovely. I do have a love for him for sure.”

The singer and model, Olivia Culpo, dated from 2013 to 2015. Culpo, who is originally from Rhode Island, moved to Los Angeles to be with Jonas when they were both 21 years old. In fact, Jonas’ hit song, “Jealous,” was inspired by Culpo.
The pair ended up splitting in 2015 after two years together, which was a tough breakup for both parties. “I did date Nick and that was a very formative experience for me,” Culpo shared. “My whole identity was in him, which is a very common story of a young person in love.”
But it seems the two have moved on as both Jonas and Culpo are married to other people now.
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra

Love is in the air for Nick Jonas and his wife, Priyanka Chopra, and it all started with a simple tweet. Jonas reached out to his future wife on Twitter, now known as X, writing in 2016, “I’m hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet.” The two began texting but didn’t officially meet until the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscars party.
That May, the two attended the Met Gala together, but their relationship didn’t become romantic until the next year. Chopra shared that the two decided to go together because they were both wearing Ralph Lauren and were already friends.

Jonas and Chopra began a relationship not long after, but it got serious quickly as Jonas popped the question in July 2018. The couple tied the knot in December 2018 with two ceremonies: a Western wedding officiated by Jonas’ father, and a Hindu ceremony.
