Noah Wyle has played a doctor on TV so much, he practically has his medical degree at this point. Not only is he Dr. Michael “Robby” Rabinovitch on The Pitt, but he got his start as Dr. John Carter on ER. He played Dr. John for 11 years, which is way longer than medical school (I’m pretty sure). So with all that time on hospital sets, Noah is now both acting in and writing The Pitt, so he’s put a lot of thought into the creation of Dr. Robby.
“It’s always been a deconstruction of a hero,” Noah explained to Esquire. “It’s always been: Let’s build a hero that seems incredibly capable, incredibly knowledgeable, trustworthy, dependable, responsible, and then chip away at him.” Oof, that’s some heavy stuff, and it all tracks for a character who’s spending 15 hours straight saving lives and feeling some big feelings.
Even though it’s easy to conflate Noah with his characters, he is, in fact, not actually a doctor. And so, real-life Noah has a little bit more time for a personal life than his doctor characters do. After all, Dr. Robby is spending 15 hours straight working a shift in the ER; he’s a busy saving lives and feeling his big feelings! But in real life, Noah has a personal life worth exploring. Here’s what we know about Noah Wyle’s relationship history, when he’s not spending his time in the (fake) ER.
Noah Wyle’s Exes

Noah seems to be pretty quiet about his dating life, mostly because he settled down pretty early in his career. Noah married makeup artist Tracy Warbin in 2000 after meeting her on the set of the movie The Myth of Fingerprints, which came out in 1997. They were together for a while, but they separated in 2009 and divorced in 2010.
Noah Wyle’s Wife

Noah wasn’t alone for too long after his divorce. In 2011, he started dating actress Sara Wells, and they got married in 2014.
According to her IMDB, Sara has been on TV shows like Californication and Nip/Tuck. She also appeared in an episode of Leverage: Redemption, which stars Noah. It’s a family business!
Noah Wyle’s Kids
Noah has three children. He shares his two older kids — 22-year-old Owen and 19-year-old Auden — with his first wife Tracy. Noah and Sara welcomed his third kid — 9-year-old Frances Harper — one year after they got married.
Noah seems to be very close with his kids, although there is one issue: They won’t watch their dad’s shows. “Neither one of my older kids have watched,” Noah told PEOPLE. “They’ve watched more Grey’s Anatomy than they have ER. It’s a point of contention.” What’s a fake doctor got to do to get some attention around here?
