If you haven’t watched The Traitors, you are missing out. The Peacock series is riveting. The host, Alan Cumming keeps the players in line thanks to his quirky sense of humor. The series has been a massive success, mainly due to the casting choices. Season 2 brought back OG reality TV stars that had fans living for the nostalgia. The third season once again used fan favorites from shows like Real Housewives, Big Brother, and Survivor. Season 4 hasn’t been announced yet, but fans are already over the moon with rumors of NeNe Leakes and Mary Cosby joining the game.
Mary Cosby could make for a great cast member
Rumors are already swirling around the potential casting of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Mary. The preacher has won over fans thanks to the recent season, which showed her opening up and talking about her son’s addiction. Mary would make a great Faithful as she is observant and sharp. However, I wonder if she could pull off being a Traitor. As fans have seen on the Bravo series, she can be cold and aloof, often scaring her castmates into not interacting with her. Personally, I’d love to see a power-tripping Mary running the Scottish castle.
Another name milling around the casting cauldron is NeNe. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star has slowly been mending fences with NBCUniversal, and this could be her chance to get back on the small screen. Bob the Drag Queen told US Weekly, “If there is one Housewife I want to see on this show, get NeNe Leakes on The Traitors. I was hoping with every fiber of my being that she would be on my season.” NeNe would be a loud presence in the castle and be the perfect distraction for a plotting Traitor.
Here’s who I’d pick for Season 4 of The Traitors
I don’t know about you, but I love seeing the OG Challenge players cast. I was sad to see Wes Bergmann get voted out, as I think he could have gone farther. I’d love to see Veronica Portillo be given a casting spot. The physical aspect of The Challenge has passed her by years ago, but she’s still one of the best political players in Challenge history. In my opinion, she would excel as a traitor. Also, adding Derrick Kosinski as a Faithful would be superb. Again, he is an OG, but he is more like a CT Tamburello. D has the strength and the brains to win the entire game.
From Big Brother, Dr. Will Kirby would be a statement casting decision. He’s already made a guest appearance on The Traitors, so why not add him as a full-time cast member? Will has a theory about why Big Brother contestants never do well. The Big Brother legend told Entertainment Weekly, “See, I think some Big Brother players went on The Traitors to show that they ‘still got it’ — only to realize that they actually ‘never had it.’” Another fun casting pick could be Tim Gunn. All I hear is “Make it work Faithfuls.”
What do we know about The Traitors Season 4?
The Emmy-winning competition series is a bloodbath that mixes our favorite reality TV stars together as they slowly pick one another off at the roundtable. Honestly, the whole setup is fabulous. Per Variety, the series has been renewed for seasons 4 and 5. Our beloved host, Alan, will be back as the host. Currently, Season 4 has not begun to film. The release date for Season 4 has also yet to be revealed. In the past years, the series has premiered in January, so it would reason to stand that Season 4 will also premiere in January 2026, with filming taking place in the summer of 2025.
Peacock has also not revealed the official cast lineup. However, both Season 2 and Season 3 cast lineups were announced in the fall, so faithful viewers can hope to hear something between September and November. The Traitors has become a cult classic, with loyal fans anxiously waiting for any kind of update. Currently, all three seasons of The Traitors are available to stream on Peacock.
