The Wanted’s Max George wrote a will on his phone and ‘thought he was going to die’ amid terrifying health scare

The Wanted singer Max George has opened up about his terrifying health scare that saw him get a pacemaker in his chest and spend time in hospital in recent weeks.

The British star, 36, has revealed in a candid new interview that he wrote a will on his phone one night during his hospital stay, because he was scared he might die.

He said he was the youngest patient in the hospital ward when speaking to The Sun about his nightmare ordeal.

“That first night I wrote a will, I thought I was going to die,” he told the publication.

“If I could go from being absolutely on top of the world to being told ‘the bottom part of your heart isn’t working’, I kept thinking in my head, ‘Well, what if the top half stops working overnight?'”

He said that one night before his pacemaker surgery he was so unwell and “panic” set in that he “felt like he was dying”.

“Thank God I stayed at Mum’s house — she saved my life,” George said.

It comes after George shared a post reflecting on 2024 and said it is a year he “won’t forget” after having heart surgery and a pacemaker put in.

“2024… Certainly a year I won’t forget! So lucky to have the life that I have,” he wrote in his post.
