Vanderpump Rules alums Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz’s TomTom bar has been undergoing some major renovations in recent weeks. Speculation is rampant that Lisa Vanderpump may be rebranding the struggling establishment as her former Pump restaurant.
Though Pump actually closed in 2023, Lisa moved the sign from her former business to TomTom. She hung the Pump sign right beside the TomTom marquee, confusing customers who wondered if they were merging.

When major construction took place outside of TomTom in early March, fans were even more concerned. They wondered if, following in the steps of Schwartz & Sandy’s, TomTom bar was going dark.
As it turns out, the construction project had “nothing to do with a rebrand.” The bar just needed to comply with a change in West Hollywood zoning laws. Following the end of the pandemic, WeHo notified local businesses that their expanded outdoor spaces needed to be downsized again. Everyone was required to return to their original sidewalk space to facilitate local foot traffic.
Most of the other local establishments made the change weeks ago. However, TomTom only got around to it this month. Now the patio, which previously accommodated 12 outdoor tables, fireplaces, and bar seating, has only a few two-person high-tops.
“It’s a bummer to not have as much outdoor space,” a TomTom employee told The U.S. Sun. “The indoor/outdoor California lifestyle really suited this space, so it is a big loss to the restaurant.”
“Every place in the area had to do the same,” the staffer added. “There’s nothing [the owners] could’ve done, but it was disappointing.”
The source continued, “Not only is there less space to seat people [translating to reduced income], but it cost them a lot of money to execute.”
The good news is that business has been “steady” in recent months. The insider also reported that despite the dip in customers following the Scandoval backlash, TomTom’s traffic has “actually picked up a lot this year.”
Nevertheless, the writing’s on the wall for TomTom. Longtime SUR manager Peter Madrigal firmly believes it’s only a matter of time until Lisa rebrands TomTom as Pump.
