Zendaya Tom Holland
Zendaya Couldn’t Be More Proud of Tom Holland’s Stage Debut
In a recent interview with Vogue magazine published on April 9th, Zendaya opened up about her relationship with Tom Holland and expressed her admiration for how the Spider-Man actor has handled his meteoric rise to fame. The “Euphoria” star, who is planning to support Holland in his latest gig as Romeo in a stage production of “Romeo and Juliet,” told the magazine, “I could not be more proud. I’m going to try to see as many shows as I possibly can.”
The 27-year-old actress reflected on how filming “Spider-Man: Homecoming” skyrocketed Holland to fame, and how she witnessed his life-changing transformation firsthand. “One day you’re a kid, and you’re at the pub with your friends, and then the next day you’re Spider-Man,” she said. “I watched life kind of change in front of him, but he handled it beautifully.”
Zendaya and Tom Holland’s Relationship Journey
Zendaya and Tom Holland met on the set of “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and have mostly kept their relationship private. However, they have given fans a few glimpses into their romance. In a February interview with BuzzFeed, Zendaya made a rare comment about her boyfriend when asked who had the most “riz” (charisma) in the “Dune” cast.
“Uh, me, hello?” she joked. “I don’t know, riz is short for charisma, right? Everybody’s kind of got their own. I think someone who has beautiful charisma, not on the ‘Dune’ cast but who worked for me, is Mr. Tom Holland. Him.”
Zendaya explained that Holland’s outgoing personality complements her shyer nature. “I’m more shy and quiet, so it takes a little bit more to pull me out of my shell, but he’s great at talking to people and getting to know them. You see him on talk shows and stuff like that; he’s just naturally very good at that, whereas for me, I’ve had to pull it out of me a little bit.”
Tom Holland on Charming Zendaya and Finding Love
Tom Holland has also shared his perspective on his charisma and how he won over Zendaya’s heart. In the same BuzzFeed interview, he said, “I have no riz whatsoever. I have limited riz. My brother Paddy has ultimate riz. I don’t know, I need you to fall in love with me really for it to work, so long game probably.”
The “Spider-Man” star added that working together on the films helped blur the lines between their characters’ romance and real-life connection. “Making a movie with each other helps when the characters you’re playing are falling in love with one another. You can sort of blur the lines a little bit. That’s kind of where my riz is at, and I’m, you know, I’m locked up, so I’m happy and in love, so I’ve got no need for riz.”
Supportive Relationship in the Spotlight
Zendaya’s admiration for how Holland has navigated the challenges of fame is a testament to the strength of their relationship. As Holland embarks on his stage debut, he can count on the unwavering support of his long-time partner, who understands the pressures of the industry and is committed to being by his side every step of the way.
