7 celebrities spotted visiting Suffolk throughout 2025

From award-winning actors to some of the world’s biggest singers, here are five celebrities who have been spotted in Suffolk this year.

1. Benedict Cumberbatch

The award-winning actor, who is known playing Sherlock Holmes and Marvel’s Doctor Strange, was seen visiting The Galley Creamery and Deli in Woodbridge.

It is one of the star’s favourite places to visit in the county and he opted for a scoop of rum and raisin ice cream.

2. Louis Tomlinson

The One Direction singer was spotted on a date with reality star Zara McDermott in Aldeburgh.

The pair dined at The Suffolk, a fine-dining restaurant owned by George Pell, which serves a range of freshly caught seafood.

3. Millie Bobby Brown

Actress Millie Bobby Brown was in the county after planning her sister’s wedding at celebrity hotspot Wilderness Reserve near Yoxford.

She is best known for playing Eleven in Netflix’s Stranger Things, which is coming to an end on New Year’s Day.

4. Thomas Skinner

Thomas Skinner, who rose to fame after appearing on BBC show The Apprentice, was spotted filming for The One Show in Ipswich town centre.

The businessman is currently in the headlines as he claimed the broadcaster rigged the Strictly Come Dancing vote that saw him be the first contestant eliminated from this year’s series.

5. Tony Hadley

The lead singer of the 1980s new wave band Spandau Ballet visited Maharani Indian Restaurant in Ipswich.

Owner Minhaz Miah said the singer said it was “one of the best meals he has had.”

6. Ricky Gervais

Rickey Gervais was pictured with fans on Ipswich Waterfront in January.

The 63-year-old comedian performed two nights at the Regent Theatre as part of his sold-out Mortality tour.

7. GK Barry

Social media star GK Barry, whose real name is Grace Keeling, was spotted supporting Ipswich Town Women at a match in Felixstowe.

Her girlfriend Ella Rutherford played for the Tractor Girls for one season before signing with second-tier rivals Portsmouth.
