On Friday, September 13, Meredith Marks, the 52-year-old star of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” opened up about her unusual medical situation. In a candid interview with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast, Marks revealed she’s undergoing her third breast reduction surgery due to ongoing tissue growth.
“It’s wild, but my breast tissue just won’t stop growing,” Marks explained. She hoped this procedure would be her last, adding, “I never aimed for this size. My goal was always to be a small C cup.” While the exact medical cause remains unclear, Marks speculated that hormonal factors might be at play.
When asked if she’d consider a fourth reduction if the growth persists, Marks didn’t hesitate. “Unless I want to look matronly, yes, I’ll do it if necessary,” she stated firmly. She emphasized the practical reasons behind her decision, noting, “Clothes fit better now. When you have to size up twice just to accommodate your chest, nothing sits right. It’s just not ideal.”
This isn’t the first time Marks has addressed body-related topics. In December 2020, responding to fan speculation about plastic surgery, she clarified on Instagram that she hadn’t had any facial procedures. “I haven’t had plastic surgery on my face,” she stated, though she did admit to using Botox in moderation. “I like a little Botox, but it needs to be done right. See? I still have movement,” she demonstrated, raising her eyebrows. Marks also mentioned her preference to avoid fillers.
As “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” gears up for its fifth season premiere on Wednesday, September 18, Marks teased exciting developments. “I can’t reveal much, but I believe it’s our best season yet. Our producers and the whole team agree,” she shared exclusively with Us Weekly in June. “It’s going to be fantastic.”
Marks has been a core cast member of “RHOSLC” since its debut, alongside Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow, Whitney Rose, and Mary Cosby. As she navigates her personal health journey, fans can look forward to seeing how it might unfold on screen in the upcoming season.
