On last week’s episode, the group continued their Friendsgiving vacation, but there was drama between almost everyone. Whitney has a fight with Lindsay and Georgina over whether they play the “single mom card” too often. Meanwhile, Kenny questions his and Gavin’s friendship and things continue to deteriorate for Kyle and Amanda.
So, what happened next? Here’s exactly what happened in In the City Episode 10: “Reunion Part 1.”
What happened in In the City Episode 10?
For In the City Episode 10 – titled: “Reunion Part 1” – the cast sat down with Andy Cohen to dish about what their first season was like. Amanda and Kyle give fans an update on their relationship after their split. He also answered the question about how things are going with West. Beyond the Summer Housewives, Kenny and Whitney defend their romance in front of the rest of the group. And, speaking of Whitney, she went head-to-head with Lindsay.

An olive stole the show
Part 1 of the In the City reunion began with Amanda sharing an update on her and West’s dating status following her split from Kyle. Naturally, Andy had a lot of questions about the summer house pair’s recent trip to Italy. During the said trip, they were photographed “spitting” in each other’s mouth. Asked about the now-viral image, Amanda clarified, “It was an olive.” “I wasn’t spitting in his face.”
Next, Andy asked if Amanda was taking any medications during the Summer House reunion, which aired a few weeks ago. Commenting on her extremely restrained behavior during the three-parter, she revealed, “I was on a beta blocker, too.” “But that’s not why I was singled out,” she added. “My defense mechanism is to just shut down and dissociate.”
Artists share their verdict on Scamanda
Even though this episode was the first reunion for In the City, the first few minutes focused heavily on Scamanda, who shook up Summer House season 10 as well as the wider Bravoverse. When Andy asked who was “surprised” by Amanda and West’s decision to “move things forward” romantically, the entire cast responded with a resounding “yes.”
Danielle said she was “shocked” and “disappointed” by Amanda and West’s relationship. This, she explained, is due to friendships that “fell apart because of it.” Danielle also said that she wished Amanda would have taken “some time” to be alone instead of immediately pursuing another romantic relationship after her split from Kyle. Amanda was surprisingly quite accepting of this. She admitted to “mishandling” the situation and “lying” during that period of her life.
Despite the cast’s apparent dislike of Amanda and West’s romance, they confirmed that the pair are now officially in a monogamous relationship. However, Amanda refused to answer whether they were “in love.” As far as Kyle’s thoughts? He disagreed with Amanda’s claims that she lacked support during their marriage. He was also hurt by the positive comments made about his new relationship.
Kyle’s dating life was a hot topic
After discussing the fallout from the scandal, Kyle’s dating life since his split from Amanda is discussed. The group commented on how “public” their makeout sessions have become and, of course, had to reference the image of them kissing former Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan “on her tippy toes.”
Beyond the banter about Kyle’s transition as a single man, Kenny shared some concerns. “The way you’re showing up for (Amanda), (and) the way you’re still being so friendly, given the level of betrayal here, are you allowing yourself to process?” he asked Kyle. Before he could respond, Amanda jumped in to clarify that there was “no crossover” between Kyle and West; Therefore, “there was no betrayal.”
As far as Kyle’s thoughts go, he said the “only thing” he was “confused” about was the timeline between his and Amanda’s divorce post on social media and his and West’s relationship going public. “There’s some stuff I’m still processing,” he admitted. Kyle then concluded that he felt “more betrayed” by West rather than Amanda (from whom he was separated at the time) because they were “boys.”
Kenny and Whitney’s relationship was a frequent topic of conversation during In the City Season 1, especially due to the word “vague” being attached to it – whether she actually said so or not. It’s no surprise that both Andy and viewers at home questioned the pair’s romance during the reunion episode.
“It felt very intense,” Whitney said of how the group reacted to her and Kenny’s unconventional relationship (that is: her moving across the country without the commitment of an engagement ring). He said the cast’s comments and questions felt more like “judgment” rather than an attempt to “understand”.
Ultimately, Kenny said that perhaps he seemed unsure in his comments about Whitney because he was “numb to working on long-term things” after a major break-up and the passing of his mother. “I was sad and in general I was having doubts about long-term things,” he said. Here, Whitney said it hurt to see the comments, but after the conversation with Kenny, she felt “reassured.”
Does Lindsay have minions?
At the beginning of In the City Season 1, Kenny accuses Lindsay of having “minions”. This is why he thought some people in the group were having difficulty connecting with his girlfriend Whitney. “It’s called making friends,” Lindsay replied at the reunion, referring to her strong bond with Yvonne and Georgina.
“Absolutely not,” Lexie said when Andy asked if Lindsay had a “Mean Girls” crew. “I consider them my friends and everyone is allowed to have their opinion.” Lexi added that “it’s great” when people can speak out and share their feelings. Meanwhile, Danielle described being on the other side of it as “lonely”.
To resolve things, Amanda suggested that moving forward, if Lindsay, Yvonne, or Georgina are asked a question, only the person involved gives their answer, rather than all three interrupting. “That’s the most important thing that’s been said all night,” Kenny responded. He also apologized for using the word “minion” in the beginning.
Lindsay reacts to “single mom card”
Whitney said of her claim that Lindsay uses the “single mom card”, “I’m really sorry I used that word.” “Even looking back at it, I feel like it was so far from the point I was trying to get across.” She went on to say that she “respects” both Lindsay and Georgina as single mothers and that they work “so hard” to give their children the life they deserve. She added, “I don’t want to ignore it. And I’m sorry that you felt a certain way by that comment.” Whitney again clarified that she was trying to repair Lindsay and Yvonne’s damaged friendship, but her point got lost along the way.
Despite Whitney’s regret over the “single mom card” comment, Lindsay was not accepting of her apology. She accused Whitney of having ideas about Lindsay having a nanny to help with baby Gemma, causing her to “double down” on the allegations. He added, “I almost threw up after watching it, because it was so much worse than I was told.” “I cried for six months because of what you said… it was so sad.”
Lindsay told Whitney that she would have to apologize at least 15 more times to make up for the loss. “You collect apologies like you collect souls,” Kenny said, giving Lindsay a sidelong glance.
