Diddy Faces Court After Arrest
Sean “Diddy” Combs, 54, is heading to court following his arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. Diddy is scheduled to appear in front of U.S. District Court Judge Andrew Carter on Wednesday, September 18, to appeal the decision made by federal Judge Robyn F. Tarnofsky to deny him bail. A trial date has not yet been set, though a conference hearing is planned for September 24.
The arrest stems from multiple allegations against Diddy, including those brought forward by his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, in a November 2023 lawsuit. Cassie accused Diddy of sexual abuse, claiming he coerced her into taking drugs and forced her to engage in sexual acts on camera. While Diddy settled the lawsuit shortly after it was filed, more accusers have come forward with similar allegations.

According to the 14-page indictment, Diddy and members of his company, Combs Enterprise, were involved in “Freak Offs” — organized sex performances in hotels, during which Diddy allegedly recorded and participated in inappropriate behaviour. The indictment also revealed that firearms, narcotics, and a large quantity of baby oil and lubricant were seized from Diddy’s Los Angeles and Miami homes during Homeland Security raids.
Diddy has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is currently held in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center while awaiting further court proceedings. His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, maintains Diddy’s innocence, calling the prosecution unjust and stating that Diddy is eager to clear his name in court.
