welcome back, Below Deck Mediterranean Fans! Last week, Captain Sandy had praised Joe a little while Nathan had blamed Joe a lot. Captain Sandy calls out Nathan for this, and in his opinion, Macy does the same. But then, Joe accidentally injures a guest. So now, Nathan really has something to get at Joe on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 Episode 16.
What happened in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 Episode 16?
Jo feels terrible for injuring a charter guest, Kat feels defeated about her post-filming travel plans with Cooper, and Gen feels fearful about life in general. So, Kat finally pounces on the General. But the worst fight comes at the end, when tensions between Nathan, Joe and Gail unfortunately reach a breaking point.
Charter guest Michelle has a broken shoulder
Charter guest Michelle remains quiet and barely complains beyond the occasional “ouch.” Even the general is not complaining. Because “the medicine is hot.”
Kaylee feels bad for Joe. But Kat saw everything. “It wasn’t his fault,” explains Kat. That awakening “came out of nowhere.”
Joe also remembers the same. “A gust of wind and then wake up,” he sighs. Cooper and Macy’s got it. Nobody blames Joe.
Michelle needs to be taken to the hospital, but the water is too dirty to take her in. Captain Sandy must take the boat back to the dock. She tells Nathan to bring water toys, stat. Ayesha, who is always in a do-or-die situation for everyone, runs out to help.
Joe feels bad, but “the elements took control,” so it was a freak accident. Nathan reassures her to his face, but in his confession, Nathan yells “Fuck, fuck.” Which was “going too fast.”
Evening. The boat heads for the dock, but the always pesky party boat is right there, making the situation tense. Luckily, everything goes well, and Michelle safely leaves the yacht and heads to the hospital.
With a carb-aholic by boat, Joey can cook whatever she wants. And Joey whips up a “huge BBQ”, which Maisy signs up to help him with. But oops, the hospital is sending Michelle back. Actually his shoulder is broken and needs surgery, which he will get in America.
Joe feels even worse. To help change things up for all of his female guests, he and Macy agree to a strip tease. But before she surprises them with her meat, Macy hopes to impress Joey with her actual meat on the grill. He succeeds, and Joey thanks him, but later, she admits that she only has time for one Romeo story, and that honor still belongs to Luke.
Cooper disappoints Kat and Kat eventually breaks up.
Poor Kat. He and Cooper made post-season plans, which Cooper invited Joe to crash last week. After learning about it this week, Kat smiled, but now she’ll be “riding tricycles all the time”, and she hates it. Cooper listens to him, but insists it will be fun.
Speaking of fun, it’s strip tease time! After eating dinner with the guests, Captain Sandy decides to stay for the show. And what a show it is, especially for the blow-up doll that humps. Maisie is absolutely wild, killing Joe while naming herself “Stripman” like Batman, only sexier.
The guests are completely satisfied, and once Michelle returns, they go to bed, leaving the mess for the General. The general complains, but gets the job done. However, the next morning, Kat decides that she has finally had enough of the General’s negativity. Kat tells Ayesha, who promises to deal with the General.
But then again, Kat handles things herself. When the General complains again, Kat finally shuts up. The music builds and a flashback airs as Kat comes across as exactly Kat, not yelling and still mostly smiling, speaking firmly and directly, telling Jane that she is over her actions this season.
Ayesha listens and smiles. The General pulls him aside and tries to get ahead of things. But Ayesha spoiled his plans. She tells Gen that he is the “common denominator” and that he should use this season as “a teaching moment” to help him grow as a person.
The General cries and calls her mother. His mother tells him to respect his crew and end things “on a high note.” The General promises to try, mainly to “spite” them all.
Tension rises between Nathan, Joe and Gail
Earlier, the deck team had cleaned the area forward of the bridge, but Nathan thinks it looks “like sh*t.” Joe takes a deep breath but doesn’t say anything. At least not loudly.
However, the General has a lot to say to Kat. She admits her mistake and apologizes. But she also slightly changes the details of her conversation with Ayesha. Oh well, at least these girls are at peace (for now).
Guests leave a nice tip of $23,500. Nathan asks Ayesha to babysit so he can take Gail out. Ayesha says yes.
At Nathan and Gail’s rental, Ayesha hugs Kayden, and Nathan and Gail leave. They sit directly across from Joe at dinner time. Annoyed, Joe turns his chair to avoid them. Joe remains in this position during his confessional and jokes about how little he cares.
Gail asks for tea from Season 11 at the table. The General decides to kill his crew with kindness through his reaction, leaving almost everyone confused. Joe took the same stance, praising Cooper highly (sort of). Who knows “I might get agitated if I’m dealing with some asshole like this,” Nathan pre-blamed in his interview.
Gale tries to crush their beef in the Sprinter van, and Joe sighs, “Here we go.” Gail wants Joe to respect their family, but Joe “hasn’t said a bad word,” she says, so “it’s crazy.” Nathan gets up from his seat. Joe asks if he’s going to kill him, and the words TO BE CONTINUED appear.
